"...was blind, but now I see." Joseph sang as his voice gently woke me up.

Nancy's voice rang through the air. "Come in... this is Nancy. Is everything okay? Over."

My vision was blurry; I blinked hard a couple of times to get my eyesight back. I was still in the chopper's passenger seat as flames surrounded the upside down helicopter.

Nancy's voice filled the air again, "Please, are you there? Are you there? Are you there, Sheriff? Deputy Hudson, if you're there, please pick up. Deputy Pratt, are you there? Are you there? Alice?"

I was still dazed, but I hurriedly unbuckled myself. My back collided with the roof of the chopper as the metal made my back throb. Then, I attempted to kick open the window and to my luck, it shattered under my boot. Joy overcame me, while I escaped from the on fire helicopter. I was still stunned as I stumbled; immediately, I knew that I fucked up. I fell to the ground. Accidentally, I scraped my arm on the gravel and my forearm began to bleed.

Then, the Father climbed out of the chopper to be with his followers after his low conversation with Nathan.

"Father!" A cultist shouted in excitement.

"God has kept you under the shadow of his wings." Another cultist declared with happiness, holding Joseph's hand.

I raised my head up to watch the events that unfolded before me, even though it was quite difficult to because I was still dazed from hitting my skull against the window from the crash.

"Everything is unfolding according to God's plan. I am still here with you. The First Seal has been broken." Joseph explained to his followers as he got onto the hood of a cultist's truck. "The Collapse has begun. And we will take what we need. And we will preserve what we have. And we will kill all those that stand in our way. And these harbingers of doom will see the truth. BEGIN THE REAPING!" Joseph screamed to his followers.

The Peggies then started to swarm the flaming upside down chopper.

"Get the fuck off me!" Hudson yelled at the Peggies that were trying to take her.

"Pratt! Pratt!" Sheriff pleaded as they took Staci away. "Get away from me!" Whitehorse shouted at Joseph's followers, but they weren't listening.

"Jesus Christ, we gotta get the fuck out of here!" Burke exclaimed as he tried to pry his seatbelt loose; a Peggie tried to come in after Burke, but the flames almost burned the cultist.

"Let them burn. This is God's will. This is their punishment." The Father told his followers as the Marshal escaped and ran off, leaving Nathan to burn by himself in the chopper after Earl, Staci, and Joey were already taken by cultists.

Nate hurried and attempted to unbuckle himself, but it was stuck. After a few more tugs, he was free as he sprinted the way Cameron had ran off to.

Fuck. This wasn't apart of my plan... He wasn't supposed to escape...

"Oh, woah, woah, oh, hey! He's getting away!" A cultist cried out as Nate swiftly made his way deeper in the woods; two bullets whizzed by his ears and another grazed his combat boot. Another second passed and he was out of sight. Gone... Just like that...

A few dogs started barking and began chasing after Nathan, but I highly doubt they could catch him; he was incredibly fast and won the all-time U.S. high school 5K record at 14:02.30 in 2003 as a senior. He earned first place among 220 runners and broke the all-time fastest time.

That motherfucker...

My eyesight slowly started to blur and black dots were beginning to cloud my vision. It was becoming extremely difficult to see as the Father walked closer to me. His quick pace caused him to stand above me in an instant.

"Let's go, Hope. You're going with my sister, Faith, along with the Marshal. You'll get patched up soon. Don't worry, dear Alice. You will be safe with Faith... You are our Hope." Joseph spoke softly as he picked me up bridal style, while I slowly fell unconscious...
