In an instant, I dropped my pistol and it fell to the forest floor before I dug my nails into the sleeve of Nathan's jacket, but to no avail, my nails couldn't go through the material.

"You think you're so damn clever, Ally." Nathan chuckled evilly as he choked me harder. "But you're not. You and Jacob couldn't even find Faith." He teased. "I thought Jacob was way better than that. But you... you two... you're both weak."

Black spots were now clouding my vision and it was becoming more and more difficult to breathe. "You are so... gonna... p-pay..." I choked out, struggling to stay conscious and feebly clawing at his clothed arm. Immediately, he released me, resulting in me falling to the cold, hard ground, gasping for air.

"I'm gonna keep you alive for a little while longer... But not for much longer, though." The Deputy stated smugly before he grabbed a fistful of my hair and stood me back up; then, he jerked his hand back, pulling my hair even more, causing me to whimper in pain. "Leaving me was the worst thing you could've ever fucking did. And for that... for that, you're the one that's gonna pay, you traitorous bitch." He spat in my face maliciously and glowered down at me.

I don't think he expected me to fight back at that moment, but I did. I brought my fist back and rammed my knuckles against his nose three times before he let go of my hair and fell to the ground. He was now clutching his nose as blood trickled from his nostrils. Then, I raised my boot in the air and slammed my foot into his stomach, causing the air to leave his lungs for a few seconds. He gasped deeply and vehemently as his eyes went wide.

"Tell me where Faith is!" I screamed before I picked my pistol back up and aimed it at him. "Now goddamnit!" I slammed the butt of my gun into his temple as he winced in agony.

"She's dead! She's gone!" He yelled, his eyes on the verge of tears. "She's fucking dead! Just leave me alone! Have mercy!"

"I don't believe the bullshit that spews out of your goddamn mouth for a second." I scowled, clicking the safety off of my gun. "I should just kill you right now. Where the hell is Faith at?! You have two motherfuckin' seconds, Nathan! Or I swear to fuckin' God above—"

"Alright, alright, alright! Faith is in the Wolf's Den!" He exclaimed in fear. "She's in the Wolf's Den held hostage by Eli!"

"Where exactly is the Wolf's Den?!" I asked loudly, my pistol still aimed at his noggin. "I'm not gonna ask this again." I then kneeled down and placed the gun against his thigh and fired. "WHERE?!"

All I heard was a loud whimper escape his lips.

I fired two more bullets into his poor thigh.

"I got... the map... my jean—" Nathan couldn't get the rest out as I stood back up, not before taking the map with directions to the Wolf's Den from his jean pocket.

"That's all I needed to fuckin' know, Nate." I replied with a smirk as I placed my finger on the trigger, ready to kill him. "So goddamn simple."

"No! No! No, no, no, no, no, please! I don't want to die! I don't want to die yet! I'm too young to die! Please, Alice, please. Spare me! I'm sorry. I'm so very sorry, okay?! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry for hurting you. Please! Just let me go! Let me live! God, I'm begging you!" Nathan begged for mercy. "Goddamnit, please!"

"I hope you rot in hell, you sick, sick bastard." I growled. "You deserve a more torturous death for all the shit you put me and Faith through, but she's far more important than you." I snarled before I pulled the trigger...

Instantly, I saw the horror in his eyes fade before his eyes glazed over. Nathan's lifeless body was now still... lifeless... unmoving... dead... finally fuckin' dead. The Deputy is gone.

"That's cold, Alice. Ice cold." Jacob laughed from behind me.

Swiftly, I turned around and crossed my arms over my chest. "Faith's alive."

"I heard. Let's get goin', fellow soldier."
