Ending/Epilogue

~Twenty Years Later~

"Mommy, mommy!" Mine and Faith's son shouted as he ran towards my wife. He hugged her legs as he leaned his head against her hip.

I smiled at the sight. "What's my two favorite people in the world up to?" I questioned before strutting to the pair. Swiftly, I gave Faith a peck on her cheek and gazed lovingly at our son, Aiden Joseph Wright.

"I was wanting to go to sleep. It's ten o' clock, mama." Aiden replied sleepily back to me. He called me 'mama' and Faith 'mommy' so that's how we knew who he was referring to. Then, he rubbed his eyes in exhaustion, pulling away from Faith. "I've been playing all day with uncle John."

John waved from behind him with dirt all on his hands. "The things I do for that kid."

"Alright." Faith kneeled down in front of our four year old son. "Mommy and mama love you so very much." She beamed up at our child as his red hair blew in the wind.

"I love you two." Aiden smiled cheekily, while he hugged Faith and I both at the same time.

"Now go to bed, kiddo." I chuckled, gently rubbing his back. "It's way past your bedtime."

Aiden nodded, his chocolate brown eyes shining under the moonlight before he scurried off inside of Prosperity.

"Well, well, well, look who it is! The star-crossed lovers." The Baptist teased, as he strutted closer to Faith and I.

"Fuck off, Johnny boy." I retorted playfully, my arm instinctively wrapping around Faith's waist without me realizing.

"You need to calm down, Alice." John laughed, his hands on his hips. He's gotten a few gray hairs here and there, giving him a salt and pepper look.

I rolled my eyes with a grin, shaking my head. "Can't help it. I'm protective."

"More like overprotective." Faith stated with a cute giggle.

"Yes." John replied with his favorite word. "Everyone can see it."

I was taken aback by John's and my wife's response. "I am not... Well... Maybe so."

"I love you Alice Wright."

"I love you Faith Wright." I smiled down at my beautiful wife as I leaned in for a kiss and right before our lips could touch, Jacob popped out of nowhere, interrupting us.

"Get a room. Y'all act like hormonal teenagers." The eldest Seed sibling growled with a look of disgust.

Quickly, I turned around playfully pushed his shoulders. "Way to ruin the fucking moment, douchebag."

"Goddamn right." Jacob grunted with a very quick laugh. He was all sweaty with a shovel in his hand. "You better watch your back."

"What's that for?" I asked incredulously, gazing at the garden tool in his grasp.

"I uh— had to bury Rush." He replied curtly, clearing his throat. He had gray hair and wrinkles bad, but he could still whip anybody's ass in a fight. Jacob was still muscular, despite his age.

"Oh." My heart sank at Jacob's response, almost forgetting that Thomas died. "He didn't deserve that. Shit." I shook my head, starting to feel gloomy again.

"It wasn't your fault." Faith chimed in, wrapping her arms around me, giving me a small hug full of love.

I looked down at my boots feeling guilty; I nodded my head in agreement, but deep inside, that's not how I truly felt. My heart knew that it was my fault. I handcuffed myself and I shouldn't have... I'm glad I put those Twins in the damn grave in the end. "The Twins won't be fucking with our lives no more... And they won't take anymore innocent lives." Grief and guilt flooded my whole entire body, nearly causing me to cry, but I forced myself not to. I needed to visit Thomas's grave. "I'm gonna go see Rush."
