The weekend was passing by quickly and she kept herself busy as she waited for her first workdate with Shuri. She had decided it was time to put Steve's brilliant idea to the test and put on her surfing wear, making her way to the pool. Splash after splash she got more determined to make it to the other side of the pool without falling in the water. It was cold but she didn't care enough to get back inside. She had even gathered a small crowd, far enough away so they wouldn't get splashed or break her focus.

"Who's this?" Thor asked as he joined the group. He had just arrived an hour before so had no clue about the young girl.
"Y/N," Clint stared with an amused grin on his face "She's been trying to walk on water ever since this genius gave her the idea." He motioned to Steve who was just as amused.
Thor paused for a second, looking taken back and confused. "Humans can't walk on water." He frowned.

"Jesus could." Sam pointed. "Who is this Jesus you speak of. I would like to meet him if that is true." Thor was honestly impressed. "Well ya can't, he isn't alive anymore. But that's beside the point. Didn't Tony tell you anything about her yet?" Steve asked to which Thor shook his head.

"Y/N has some type of power that lets her manipulate matter. I don't really know the specifics of it but she's trying to use it for stupid sh*t like walking on water." Clint explained, receiving an pointed look from Steve for his language. Thor didn't look surprised, just excited at this new piece of information. "OOOH, of course! I didn't know a Kaplarian was joining the avengers. I honestly thought they were extinct by now, but look at her go!" He grinned, motioning to the girl who had gotten to the middle of the pool before falling trough the water's surface.

The three men stared at Thor in confusion and disbelief. "What?" Thor said, oblivious to what had been going on for the past week. "I think you should talk to Tony."

"So, what exactly are you thinking here?" Tony asked as the men had come to him with this new theory. Thor started to explain. "I would have to assume she is from the planet Kepler. Its matter was very unstable, constantly changing form, but against all odds people managed to live there and they learned and evolved to control the matter of the planet as well. However, his only made the planet more unstable over the years so some time ago, maybe a decade or two ago, they tried to make a deal with my father to scatter among other plants but he refused and not long after, the planet collapsed. We don't know what happend to it's inhabitants but we assumed they went extinct with its collapse."

Tony sat with his hands in his hair, not knowing what to do with this information as he stared at his computer screen. "I thought you said she was born on earth?" Steve questioned.

"She was. She's half human." He turned the screen to the others.
"So your sister or whatever she is, was together with an alien and had no idea?" Clint wondered out loud. Tony rubbed his temples but decided to answer truthful. "Not exactly" how exactly do you tell the Avengers that you slept with an alien but didn't remember and are now taking care of the child that came out of that interaction.
"She's Tony's" Bruce said instead, being the only one informed of the situation from the start.
"Oh that explains a whole lot actually." nodded Steve with a slight smirk.
"Oh haha, this is all so amusing, meanwhile my daughter, who thinks her parents left her because of her powers, is half alien and we have no idea what else is going on!! All because, I'm a stupid idiot who cant tell humans from aliens. Try explaining that! SHE'S JUST A F***ING KID!" Tony all but yelled, shooting up from his seat in frustration. How was he supposed to tell Y/N what they found out. Oh hey, I slept with an alien and now you have powers and no idea what they might lead to.

He didn't know however that he might not have to explain anymore.

"So, how's it working out for you?"
Y/N had continued her attempt of crossing the pool without taking a break. When she finally took one and started drying herself off, Natasha joined her. "The first few steps are fine but after that I keep crashing into the water." she sighed. "I just think my reflexes aren't fast enough. Do you think you could help me get better with that?" she looked over at Natasha, still a little out of breath.
"I think I might know someone better. I need to ask Tony though. Come on."

Natasha and Y/N arrived to what seemed like a heated argument as they heard Tony yelling. "My daughter is half alien and we have no idea what else is going on!! All because, I'm a stupid idiot who cant tell humans from aliens. Try explaining that! SHE'S JUST A F***ING KID!"
The room had fallen so silent that they had no trouble hearing her timid voice.
"What?" was all she really could muster in the moment. Everyone's eyes fell to her as hers found the floor, not able to catch Tony's gaze. She had a lot to process from that one sentence and couldn't process any of it. So she did what seemed like the most logical option, which was walk away. Away from their shocked gaze so she could think.
