Y/N went to her locker by herself. Her mind filled with so many ideas that she payed no mind to those around her as the had to dodge her as she walked. "Earth to Y/N! Hellooo~" Cindy called her away from her thoughts with a wave. "you were far from home, weren't ya." she laughed at Y/N's startled gaze.

"Yeah," She shrugged "did you ask me something?"
"Oh, only if you had a date to prom yet." Johanna said nonchalantly.
"You know I don't. And you know I don't care either." But the two girls had noticed a particular boy looking at her often and they had sworn among themselves to get the two of them together. And it was no surprise that same boy approached her when the next break came around.

She rummaged through her normally organized locker, searching for her chemistry book, when a very familiar Keychain was suddenly dangling in front of her eyes. She grabbed it with a gasp and turned to the one previously holding it.
"Where did you find this!?" her mouth hung slightly open in shock as she traced the shape of the star with her finger before looking back at him for an answer.
"I walked into you at the party last week, remember?" he chuckled nervously "You must have dropped it, I just wasn't sure it was yours." only now did she take in who stood in front of her. She did recognize him, his kind green eyes and sculpted face were hard to forget as she had thought back then as well.
"Thanks for returning it to me. It means a lot, I would hate to have lost it." she smiled at him kindly.
"So, you a fan of Stark industry? Or Ironman, maybe?" he said, referring to the engraving on the back that read 'STARK' in big bold letters.
"Oh, yeah. I guess you could say that. Anyway, I didn't quite catch your name." she pointed out, she could actually see his longing to face-palm in that moment.
"I'm James. and you're Y/N right?" She nodded in response. "It's nice to meet you James, see you around?" She closed her locker as she had found her book and started to make her way. "Yeah." He breathed out, almost sounding like a sigh, before shooting back to life as he rushed to ask "Hey! Can I get your number?!" She turned to look at him again, seeing him still staring at her trough the crowd of students making their way to class.

"Wait for me after school." She said before disappearing into her classroom as the second bell rang. "What was that all about?" MJ questioned when she took her seat in the classroom.

"Oh, he found my keychain and just gave it back." She showed her the keychain before hanging it on her bag.

"And for that you're meeting him after school?" MJ didn't buy it but decided to leave it when the two boys walked into the classroom.

"What are you both talking about?" Ned questioned motioning to MJ who had a sceptic look directed to Y/N. "Nothing" MJ muttered, turning to the front, away from their eyes. "Probably James Lewis." Peter said, receiving a look from MJ that screamed 'Shut the fuck up', motioning to Ned.

After the end-of-school bell rang, MJ and Y/N walked out together. "Are you just walking with me to spy on me and James?" Y/N questioned, honestly knowing the answer.
"Obviously." she smirked "Look, there he is." she waved at him waiting and he gave her an awkward wave back. She headed toward him, leaving Mj behind.

"Give me your phone." she said as soon as she got to him. He obviously reacting in confusion.
"What?"
"You wanted my number didn't you?" she asked in a matter of fact way.
"Oh yeah." he took his phone from his pocket, unlocking it and handing it to her on the new contact screen. She put in her number, snapping a quick picture and saving herself as 'Y/N✨'.
A smile formed on his face as she handed him back his phone. "There ya go."

"I will definitely make good use of it." he winked, but she got distracted by something behind him. She quickly motioned to someone before turning her attention back to him with a smile.
"I'll see you around?" she asked, almost apologetically, before making her way past him and leaving him behind once again.

"I thought you were picking me up down the street?" she questioned her dad as soon as she got in the car.
"You were taking too long. Who was that?" Tony gave a her a pointed look and started driving.
"A friend from school." she shrugged.
"As far as I know, friends don't look at each other's ass." He deadpanned, clearly irritated by the look of the boy his daughter was talking to.
"Dad!" she groaned "I have you know, they do. Hyping each other up and such. You can ask Nat." came her snarky reply, ending the conversation to avoid further arguing during the drive back.

She felt her phone buzz and gave it a quick glance to see a text from an unknown number.

'See you tomorrow✨'
