"We're done." Y/N chuckled to herself. Looking at the suit she had spent a months working on with Shuri. The black panther suit had been finished already but they had still intently been working together. Her face changed from one of relief to a more saddened one.
"What's with that face? You've worked hard on this, be happy damn it!" Shuri laughed, but knew exactly what the face was for. "Don't worry, you're not getting rid of me just because we've finished this project. Besides you still owe me a tour through New York." She winked.
"Yeah, I know. It's just weird to finish something you've invested so much time in." She shrugged, letting the suit shrink back to it's watch form, the headpiece shrinking into a necklace, and put both on as if nothing out of the ordinary. They talked for a moment longer until it became time for breakfast.
"Good morning everyone." She chimed as she got upstairs.
"Someone's in a good mood." Steve chuckled, Nat and Wanda agreeing with a nod and a glance.
She tapped her necklace 3 times and the helmet formed back into place, snugly around her head. "I am." she said, immediately letting it melt back to reveal the smug smile on her face.
"Well done Y/N." Bruce complimented. Earning a proud smile and a light side hug.
"Tony upgraded your suit?" Steve questioned confused, being the only one not really informed.
"No captain douchebag. I did this myself." She scoffed. Starting on her breakfast with a roll of the eyes.
"Y/N, however much I love to hear Steve being insulted, don't." Tony gave her a stern stare but couldn't help the small smile that had formed at her comment. She shrugged, eating her breakfast and making her way to him. She gave him a peck on the top of his head as she got her bag. "I'm off to school. Bye dad. Bye everyone!"
"See you tonight sparkle!" Everyone stared at Tony, still not really used to it. "What?"
"I just can't believe the caring dad side of you even exists." Nat stated just when Pepper Potts walked in the room. "Oh, I was just as surprised. Don't worry, you'll get used to is. Be it after a long time." She winked at Tony who was desperate to change the subject at the sight of Thor behind Pepper. "Thor! Any news?" Pepper and Natasha gave each other a knowing look at the sight of Tony's bruised ego and turned to Thor as well.
"Not good news I'm afraid. We've looked into it further and my father believes some keplarians were taken in on earth. By whom we don't know, but we do not believe they mean well." Thor stated with a stern tone.
"Your father is the one that turned them down. So, naturally, shouldn't he be the one to fix this." Tony deadpanned, but Thor had already anticipated this reply. "I'm afraid if I ask him to do such a thing, he will take Y/N as well. He believes she shouldn't be alive in te first place." Thor hadn't talked about his fathers thoughts much, only telling them the mere facts they had found in their past meeting. But he couldn't keep this from Tony any longer. He knew his father would take Y/N from earth without a second thought and if this happend, and he didn't tell anyone, it would be Thor that would be at fault.
Tony swallowed down his anger and anxiety. Closing his eyes in thought. "We'll find them ourselves then. Find out if they really are planning something." Steve said, noticing Tony's reaction. He placed a hand on Tony's shoulder, causing him to look up. He gave him a curt nod of reassurance.
Tony made his way to his workshop to do exactly as Steve said. Find them, and protect Y/N from whatever they might be planning.

"You excited for the school trip?" James asked her with a toothy grin. The school had chosen a few classes to go on this trip and luckily for them, they were both in said classes. "It's going to be so much fun." She sarcastically mused with a straight face.
"Oh come on. We never have class together, and now we can spend the whole day together. Who cares about the boring museum." He shrugged leading her onto the large bus with him. She didn't expect him to be right and she wouldn't admit that he was. But she did enjoy herself. Her entire friend group stuck together and she loved it. Even Ned had come to terms with James being, well James, so it seemed.
At the end of the day, they got to choose a part of the large museum that they wanted to go to, so the friend group split up. Jo, Cindy and Y/N decided to go to the astrology exhibit, Y/n having seen more nuclear science and engineering than was probably showcased in this museum.
"Doesn't it make you feel small?" Cindy asked in awe, not really expecting an answer as she stared up at the dome above her. "Yeah, yeah it does." Y/N sighed. It made her think even more of where she, or at least her mother, came from. She looked around, thinking that just maybe she would find a planet that she could be from. Obviously seeing no aliens had been known of before Thor arrived, the chances would be small of her finding another planet with lifeforms aside from Asgard.
"Woh, look at this." Jo exclaimed "It's the death of a planet." The two girls joined her at the simulation. 'The planet 62b within the Kepler solar system is too far from our earth to properly be monitored. However we we were able to witness the death of this planet. It is theorised that said planet was still young an forming, but was too unstable to keep shape, and thus imploded in on itself.' The girls watched the planet burst into what seems a billion small pieces until it was nothing but stardust. The sound of the explosion so real that is felt like they were truly watching it happen. However the vibrations in the floors signaled that it might have been.
Y/N watched the cracks forming behind the semi-opaque screen. Letting her instincts kick in, she grabbed both girls by the arm and ran as fast as she could to the nearest exit, already feeling small pieces of rubble and dust raining down on them. They didn't look back as they heard the wall behind them crumble down with incredible force. They didn't look back until they reached the other student that stood outside, staring at the chaos before them.
"You guys okay?" She asked finally, out of breath. They both merely nodded, clearly shocked at what had happened. Y/N looked around for her other friends, but they were nowhere to be found. They were going to the nuclear-physics exhibit, where the explosion seemed to be closest to. She muttered inaudible words under her breath, weaving her way trough the crowd of students. Before running back to the two girls. "Did you see MJ? Ned? Any of the others?" She questioned, worry now permanently stuck on her face. "No, don't worry, the firefighters are on the way." Jo nodded, trying to calm her down, though they both knew that wasn't working. She glanced down at her watch, thinking for a moment before looking back at the building that was now clearly burning down.
"Stay here, I'm going to check the other fire escape." She announced, sprinting to the side of the building without another word. The girls yelled her name over and over to try to get her to come back, one of the teachers tried to run after her but by that time she had already disapeared.
