Chapter 25

A few days after i submitted my request for leave, i was alone at my apartment when suddenly the doorbell rang.

I thought it was Ellie so i went to the door and opened it, but i was greeted by 5 smiling faces of the boys whom has a deep place in my heart.

"Noona! " Jungkook who looks uncomfortable in his trousers and sweater greeted me excitedly.

Actually they all looked uncomfortable, don't they know that the weather is hot in the Philippines?

They've brought some foods and they already felt at home even before i told them to do so. They sat on my couch and began to chatter happily in my living room, it was so lively that i had a few moments of shock but i immediately shrug it off.

I just laughed at them, i missed them so much.

"When did you arrived? " I asked them while we're all having dinner, my head keeps peaking at their faces trying to see if i count them wrong and that they're actually six. I know Taehyung is with Ellie right now.. only one is missing. Did i hurt him that much when i pushed him away? Oh, Of course i did, you're so stupid Kriz, this is what you wanted and now you want to see him, you really like to confuse people that much?

"We actually arrived today, we immediately went to Taehyung's company but we only saw Taehyung and Ellie there, they told us you took a year leave off from work, are you okay? " Yoongi asked.

I nodded, it looks like Jin haven't told them anything yet, and I'm glad for that.

After dinner we played games and had snacks, ofcourse they always got to have something to chew on.

After quite some time, i asked Jin to talk with me. We went in the kitchen away from the living room.

"Have you told them yet? " He asked.

"Yeah, i told Ellie and she told Taehyung, so far it's just us four if you haven't told anyone yet. "

"Don't worry, i haven't told anyone. i want you to tell them personally. Are you sure you don't want him to know? "

I shook my head "not yet... I want my baby safe. I can't bear to let it happen again, I'm just being cautious. "

"I understand, but i hope you can consider telling him as soon as possible. "

I nodded.

We talked a bit more about what happened when we left. I felt a bit–or yeah, not a bit, maybe i felt guilty for pushing Namjoon away, Jin told me he tried to fake smiles infront of them and he always told them he was okay. Namjoon is trying to live normally like he used to but sometimes they could hear him crying or calling my name in his sleep.

Hearing those, i wanted to go back and hug him, tell him I'm sorry for pushing him away, but I can't and I won't.

I can't because I'm worried that something might happen when i went back there and lose another life. I will not risk my baby like that, and I won't because I'm too ashamed to face him especially after pushing him away.

After talking, we went back to my living room where the rest is playing games, minutes later i heard knocks and Ellie's voice demanding me to open the door.

I rolled my eyes and went to the door.

"Seriously? " I said while raising a brow.

"What? " She asked

"You have a key, you don't need to knock "

Her mouth went 'O' and suddenly grabbed her bag and took out her key.

Taehyung sighed frustratedly and i just laughed at both of them before letting them in.

We laughed so much that i felt like my baby was laughing too, my tummy felt tingles whenever I'm happy.

They almost stayed until midnight but Taehyung explained that Ellie needs to sleep early since she's pregnant and he also made an excuse for the boys to not disturb me for the following hours telling them that I'll be looking for an apartment first thing tomorrow so i should sleep early too.

I'm grateful for that because i still haven't thought of telling them about my baby.

They bid their farewells and told me they'll come visit me again when I'm not busy, they're here for a week so they'll have a lot of time to catch up with me.

After seeing them out of the door, i washed my body and lay down my bed, after minutes of staring at my ceiling, i fell asleep.

-The Next Day-

I woke up early and prepared my breakfast, just a light meal because I'll be going around looking at some apartments that has more space.

I have decided to pursue my idea of making a nursery room for my twins. I just hope that my baby gets to understand the situation when the time comes.

I dressed comfortably and packed sandwiches to munch along the way.

I went here and there, looking for an apartment that fits my criteria, some landlords even tried to fool me, it's a good thing that i developed a mother's instincts and decided to look closely in every inch and corner of the apartments that i went to, ofcourse for the safety of my baby.

I am now looking at the fifth apartment and i must say, this one fits the one in my mind. It has three bedrooms and a spacious living room, one private bathroom which is in the masters bedroom and one public bathroom. It also has bath tubs and I'm loving everything right now.

"The rent here is a bit high compared to the others, but i assure you the quality of this apartment is the best. I can even give you a discount. " The land lady said.

"How much would it be? " I asked.

"What is your work if i may ask? "

"I'm currently on leave because I'm pregnant but i still get pay, I'm an Editor at KTH Publishing house. " I said.

"Where's your husband? How come you're the one who's looking for an apartment under the scorching heat of the sun? "

I smiled awkwardly and showed her my hands "no husband. Just me. "

She looked shocked at first but her eyes suddenly looked at me warmly and held my hand.

"Originally, the rent would be more or less 15k monthly but for you, I'll rent it out for half the price. " She said.

My eyes got big as i heard what she said.

"A-are you serious? " I asked.

She nodded "I'm a single mother my self and i understand the struggle of being a single mother without a husband to rely on. All i can do is to lessen the burden of looking for money to pay the rent. "

My eyes watered and can't resist to hug her, the land lady was shocked and so am i, how can i just hug a random stranger like this? But maybe this is understandable since I'm happy? It's also closer to Ellie's place so she can now see me anytime she want without complaining about the traffic.

I immediately signed a contract and next week, I'll officially move in this apartment and I'm so excited!
