Chapter 22

Kriz's POV

I felt a hand caressed my face, then i heard a sob coming from a woman.
I slowly opened my eyes only to see my bestfriend crying.

"Kriz! " She exclaimed when she saw me awake.

"Ellie " i called her name but my voice was hoarse, how many times should i wake up like this? Am i too weak to even stay awake?

"Jin! She's awake! Call the doctor quick! " She yelled.

Jin, who was sitting on the sofa immediately obliged, he ran to the door and bumped into Taehyung who was going inside the room but he continued to run like nothing happened.

Ellie gave me a glass of water after she helped me sit up.

I drank it and thanked her.

" How long i was out? " I asked them. Taehyung and Ellie, I'm glad she's fine now.

They both glanced at each other before answering me. "3 days. " Ellie said.

I nodded, a doctor came in followed by Jin and the boys. Jungkook and Jimin was peeking from behind them while the other looks so serious while the doctor examined me. But it feels empty.. it's seems like something is missing.

Oh.. right.

It's Namjoon.

" She's starting to get better since the surgery, her vital signs are now stable and she looks healthier now. Keep on taking your prescribed medication and soon you'll be able to walk out of this hospital. " The doctor said.

"Wait doc, what do you mean by 'surgery'? What happened to me? " I asked.

Last time i remembered that i bled and fainted,  i bled because...

Fuck

I looked at Jin, he asked the others if they could leave us alone with the doctor. Ellie insisted on staying but i asked her to leave. She sighed and nodded before heading out.

"Tell me doctor.. my baby is alright, right? It's still here... Tell me it's still here " i pleaded. My eyes started to pour tears.

Jin held my shoulder "don't move too much, your wound will open up. "

I held his arm "Jin! My baby is still here right? "

"I'm sorry, but your baby didn't make it. You bled a lot and didn't manage to save the other one. "

I cried so hard after hearing the news. It's gone, my baby is gone.

I'm sorry my baby, mommy isn't good enough to keep you.

A week passed, we are now on our way to the airport. By 'we' i mean me, Ellie and Taehyung. We are going back to the Philippines.

We're inside a van and the boys are with us.

"You're coming back here right? " They asked.

"No more noona's to scold us when we are loud " Jungkook pouted.

I messed his hair and smiled " don't worry, we'll keep in touch. Taehyung is with us so you can basically reach us anytime. "

"Are you sure you'll be fine on your own Kriz? " Jin asked, he's been a great help to me within my darkest days. Actually they all helped me and that made me feel much better.

Also, yesterday, Jin confessed to me but he knew i won't reciprocate his feelings, he told me that he only wanted to let it out, that i don't have to have feelings for him in return.

We remained friends and nothing changed between us.

"Kriz, tell me the truth. What happened last week? Why did you undergo a surgery? I've wanted to ask you this for so long but it felt like you don't want to talk about it. " Ellie asked when we were seated on the plane.

"I still don't want to talk about it, but i promise Ellie, when the time comes i'll tell you. "I said.

"Fine, but if you can't handle it alone I'll be here to support you. "

I nodded at her and thanked her whole heartedly. The flight was peaceful so i fell asleep the entire time.

I woke up when the time of our arrival was announced on the speaker, i woke Ellie up and told her we're about to land. Taehyung looked like he also just woke up.

"Aaah how long has it been? So many things happened staying at Korea for such a short time. " She said while stretching.

"Careful. " Taehyung who stood up, said and held her back for support.

"Oh, thanks " Ellie said then she caressed her tummy unintentionally, i averted my gaze from her action and glanced at the window outside. It's now noon and i can see the white clouds all over the sky.

"After we landed, we decided to let you rest for two weeks, after that he'll let you decide whether you want to continue to work or not. " Ellie said while Taehyung nodded.

I chuckled "ofcourse i want to keep working, my bestfriend is still there, and I'm also lucky to have you as my bestfriend because you have our boss as our backer, right boss? " I teased Ellie.

Teahyung nodded while smiling "ofcourse! Anything for my babies. "

She hit my arm playfully and said "shut up, seems like you're already well, why don't you go back to work immediately? "

I shook my head in horror "no! I want that two weeks rest "

She smirked at me but didn't say anything after that.

Soon we landed and people kept staring at us, well who wouldn't? We just came from Korea and it's freezing cold there while it's the total opposite here.

We are wearing thick clothes that doesn't even match the weather. We were wearing sweater that we immediately took off after we got a taste of the heat from the sun.

"It's hot " both Ellie and i said. Taehyung isn't complaining but we can see beads of sweat forming in his forehead.

"Why don't we change first? " I suggested

"That's the best thing to do right now, let's go get our luggage " She said then grabbed me and Taehyung to get our luggage.

While we waited for our luggage we stood there like idiots that didn't know how to ease the heat while bathing on our own sweat.

Why the hell none of us thought of that first?
