Chapter 24

I already started working again yesterday, my two weeks rest have gone to an end, it's just like i rested for two days, i haven't had enough because i want to spend my days thinking about my babies and what i can do to raise the one in my tummy correctly because i don't know anything about parenting.

Ellie noticed that I'm always in a good mood, so she asked me what happened.

I just told her i woke up in a good mood today, i know she doesn't believe me but she nodded anyway.

I don't mean to keep it to her forever because she will eventually know, but I'm just not ready to tell her yet, may i just want to enjoy this good news for my self first, that's why.

I worked the way i work before but i easily get tired and sometimes i feel nauseous.
I've been picky to what i eat and I'm always craving for cheese. I guess it's starting.

"Kriz, can we talk for a moment? " Said Ellie as she approached me in our lunch break.

I looked behind her but she immediately said that Taehyung has a meeting, therefore he cannot accompany Ellie at lunch.

We both went outside the building and went to the nearest restaurant so we can both talk in peace.

"What do you want to talk about? " I asked after i ordered mine. We thanked the waitress that served us.

"Don't hide it from me now Kriz, i know something happened, why don't you tell me? Is this about Sky? " She asked.

I sighed " partially.. " i answered.

"You seem to be in a good mood lately, don't you dare tell me that you just woke up like that, I'm not buying it anymore. Tell me honestly, are you sick? Is that why you're trying to live happily? Are you going to leave this world soon and be with your baby? " She asked while tearing up, i had to shut her up because i panicked, some guest have already looked at us weirdly.

"It's not like that okay?! Shhh! " I eyed her widely telling her to shut up.

She pouted "then tell my why, I'm asking you because I'm your bestfriend, but you're being secretive to me lately. "

"Fine I'll tell you, I can't hide it from you anymore either. " I said.

I started telling her everything, she listened to me attentively, her reaction was so priceless when i told her that i am still pregnant and there's still a baby living inside me.

She's so happy that she declared our babies should be best friends too.

She asked me if she could tell Taehyung too, i gave her the right to do so but i told her to keep Taehyung's mouth shut because i don't want Namjoon to know.

Why? Because i know once Namjoon learned about this he'll fly back here immediately. It's not that i don't want him to be a father, but I'm not ready to face him yet. The trial with Sojin will be held in a few weeks and right now, just by thinking about it, i still get scared, not for me but for my baby. I don't want to lose another one. I might just get stressed because Namjoon only reminds me of the incident.

Yes, i love him

But right now, my baby's safety is my top priority.

Days after i told Ellie my condition, my morning sickness finally began. It was so bad that i can only go to work at noon.

Taehyung wasn't saying anything, he said that he understands because Ellie also experience morning sickness similar to mine. But hers is not that bad. Since then, i started to feel bad because i can't get any work done.

I tried to go to work as regularly as i can but my morning sickness just can't let me do what i want.

I caressed my tummy that has now visible bump and sighed, i went inside Taehyung's office, Ellie was there too and they were talking about work when i went in.

"Kriz! What are you doing here? " Ellie asked, surprised.

I smiled at her before placing a letter at Taehyung's desk.

"I'm asking for a leave, it's fine if it doesn't have pay, i have enough savings to help my self through this pregnancy. " I stated.

Taehyung shook his head. " You could've just told us, I'll give you off from work for 1 year, is that enough? With pay, ofcourse i wouldn't let my employee suffer especially when she's pregnant and also my wife's bestfriend. " Then he winked at Ellie who hit his back while her face flushed.

"Wife your face! " Ellie pouted.

I laughed at them and thanked Taehyung, ofcourse i don't want to take for granted the offer that he offered me but that's what i needed plus i can spend more time with my baby, nothing can be more better than that.

I promised them that I'll work hard when i come back, they wished me goodluck. I spent my lunch with them and told them my plans while I'm on leave, i accidentally blurted out that I'll look for a bigger apartment because I'll be having a baby soon, Ellie wanted to come with me to look for the apartment but Taehyung reprimanded her saying that she should just take care of herself.

I finished my work for the day before i officially told my workmates I'll be gone for a year. They already knew I'm pregnant but they don't know the story behind it, and they don't need to know.
