"The plan is moving quicker than we anticipated. I have to get into Dowling's office - tonight." Beatrix sighed in frustration as she paced towards her room to grab her book on Alfea as Elmira tried her hardest to erase the image of the farmer's body from her brain but to no avail. Her hands ran through her platinum blonde hair before she picked up the flask of vodka from her bedside table and had a sip, catching Beatrix's attention before she walked over and sat beside her best friend in an attempt to comfort her.

"I'm sorry I didn't acknowledge your feelings Mira, how are you? That must have been awful finding a body like that." Beatrix's arms wrapped around Elmira bringing her close and comforting her as she soothed her shaky breaths before taking another sip of vodka. "It was rough. In a way I'm glad Riven - the dark stallion as you call him - was there." Beatrix formed a smirk at the mention of her nickname before Elmira continued "Although now I'm scared that whatever we did share is now tarnished by the horrific sight." An exasperated sigh escaped Elmira's mouth as she lay down on the bed in frustration.

"Okay look at me." Beatrix stood up and pulled her best friend up with her, turning her so they were facing one another. "You're Elmira Chambers - slayer of girls and boys hearts, badass fashion genius and the best friend one could possibly dream of - if your connection is tarnished from one event then he really isn't worth it. I know you care for him, for some unknown reason, but you're honestly too good for him and it's about time you got back out there and remembered that."

The small pep talk from her best friend lifted Elmira's spirits immensely, that or the vodka had already began soothing her nerves and negative emotions. Elmira pulled her best friend into a tight hug before holding her hands and looking in her eyes. "You're the best friend for me. I couldn't imagine my life without you in it, which means you're coming to this boring party with me whether you like it or not because I need moral support and a personal entourage."

With that Elmira grabbed her phone once again, hand still in Beatrix's and walked out the door despite her best friend's protests. "You don't have to stay long: just enough so people realise you go to this school and not to mess with you: then you can go to the library or try breaking into the headmistresses office okay?"

Beatrix rolled her eyes before silently agreeing and strutting her way down the halls of Alfea alongside Elmira, the two girls earning stares from everyone they passed before they walked down the main steps and into the yearly mixer. Elmira fixed her hair before straightening her shoulders and linking her arms with Beatrix, shooting her best friend a wink the blonde and brunette strutted straight into the middle of the room without a care in the world. Quiet murmurs surrounded them as the students stopped to stare, compliments were uttered underneath strangers breaths as the girls found their way to the bar to grab a non-alcoholic beverage, immediately spiking it with their flask.
