the party seemed like it lasted forever, and you were well beyond drained during the car ride home. though schlatt opened your door for you, neither of you had said a single word the entire time.

now, you were sitting in the room schlatt gave you with chief laying on the floor next to your bed, a bone in his mouth and slobber pooling slightly at his paws. gross, but he was still cute. you didn't know where you stood with schlatt, and you assumed he felt the same.

you knew that eventually you would have to talk to him, and sadly it seemed to have to happen soon. you were getting hungry, you were in the mood for boston pizza. schlatt hadn't eaten anything during the party either, so he was probably just as hungry as you were.

you got out from under the blanket, stepping carefully over chief, making sure you didn't accidentally stomp on his paws or tail. slinking into the hallway, you kept your body close to the wall as you made your way over to schlatt's room. when you got to his door, you hesitated.

how would he react? was he going to be act awkward as you felt? everything was so frustrating. your feelings were all a mess, you knew for a fact that you still harbored feelings for schlatt, but you wanted to find out how he felt. if he didn't share the attraction, you would have to back off. but again, was it too early to have those kind of talks?

"hey," you nearly jumped out of your own skin at the sound of his raspy voice, "did'ya need somethin'?"

"oh, um, i was getting hungry and i wanted to know if you wanted food too."

he smiled at you, melting away most of your worries. he would never judge you. he would always be your friend no matter what happened. you knew that, but you were still nervous.

"does boston pizza sound okay?"

"mm, yeah. what're you gonna order?"

"probably (y/o) and some cactus chips," you were drooling at the thought of the food. all warm and tasty and fresh... mmm...

"i'll have the same. on me."

"no, you've paid for food every time. i'll get it this time," you swooned at his kindness. he was so polite that it surprised you.

"i'm the man here," he grinned, "just making that clear."

"sure thing, boss. i'll let you know when it arrives."

he nodded and retreated back to his room, closing the door softly behind him. you frowned a little, you had wanted to hang out with him for a bit but it seemed as though he wanted some alone time.

that was respectable, you would keep your distance until he was ready. which was hopefully soon, you were getting kind of bored being all alone. but it's okay, he probably had editing or streaming to do.

just as you thought that, you got a notification on your phone. you took a peek at it, seeing that you were right about him going live. hesitating again, you tapped the screen and soon saw a 'stream starting soon' sign glow. schlatt tweeted about the stream as you settled down and ordered the food.

schlatt's voice filled your ears as he energetically welcomed everyone to the stream, his views growing by the second. the chat was soon blowing up, and some people even started subscribing with prime and donating a few dollars here and there. you smiled at his excited voice, getting everyone hyped up and ready. he was just going to be playing some minecraft on a random world. he hadn't played a different game for a little while, it seemed as though he needed a break from entertaining people just as much as you did.
