im supposed to be in science class but im writing this chapter instead because school is annoying as hell lol

ive been finding new pics of schlatt all over instagram and they get better and better :'). anyway sorry if this chapter is sloppy, i gave up editing and proofreading cuz im lazy

schlatt was visiting today, in two hours. you were extremely excited, you managed to clean and make the house smell good. you had already showered and gotten ready like an hour ago, because you were filled with so much energy. you had planned a few things, such as a movie night and a nice walk to the pizza place near your apartment.

as for bullet, the puppy, you were going to surprise schlatt. you did copious amounts of research on the breed and went out to buy everything you needed for him, and you had filled out all the paperwork. you were picking him up in about 30 minutes. clapping your hands together, you threw on whatever clothes you touched first in your closet and raced out the door, not slowing down until you got in your car and on the road.

once you got to the front of earl's adoption, you opened the door and smiled widely when you saw ally waiting for you, bullet in a little playpen at the front.

"hey, (y/n)! are you excited? he's ready for you," she was grinning from ear to ear, clearly just as excited as you were. you nodded to her and walked over, reaching down and ruffling the top of bullets head. you didn't want to change his name, so you could have something that connected you to the adoption center even after you took him home.

after everything was finalized and ally gave bullet a goodbye kiss on his snout, she handed you the leash he was tethered to and a few treats along with his favourite toys. thanking her again, you helped bullet out of the building, opening the car door for him and placing him in the travel kennel you bought.

the car ride home went smoothly, he didn't whine or use the bathroom, thankfully. when you two got to the parking lot, you let bullet out of the car and took him to a patch of grass where he relieved himself before walking around and sniffing everything.

you had an hour before schlatt arrived, so you allowed bullet to take his time exploring his brand new surroundings. he was so adorable, every once in a while he would trip on his own paws and topple over. you felt your cheeks ache as you watched the puppy prance around happily.

after about 25 minutes, you decided to head back up to your place. you gently tugged the leash and watched as bullet perked his ears up to you, swiftly dropping whatever he was doing and following you inside. he really was a smart dog already.

when you made it to your front door, you entered and unhooked bullets leash, letting him run off to look around the place. you had blocked off most of the main rooms, not wanting to overwhelm him with an entire apartment on his first day.

you put out the food and water bowl, filling one with water and leaving the food bowl empty. you wanted to feed him on a schedule, you would give him some treats in between. ally had mentioned that bullet is very far in his house breaking training, so you laid out a few pee-pads for him to use.

he sat down and scratched the back of his ear, sneezing right after. you laughed and reached your hand out, keeping still as he sniffed it. while petting him, he rolled over on his back and stretched out his paws. you rubbed his belly for a few seconds which was cut short because you heard the bell go off.

it was schlatt!

you got up and brushed yourself off, taking a breath before going to the door. you opened it and grinned, seeing your favourite 6'3 new yorker standing tall in front of you. before you could hug him, chief shoved himself in between the two of you, his nose to the ground.
