you sighed, rubbing your eyes and tapping your fingers to the beat of the song that was blasting through your car speakers. driving was so annoying, as you had said to yourself and schlatt before, especially when you were alone and driving for a long time. you grinned nonetheless, because you knew what was waiting for you at the end of your drive.

anyway, you would be there in about 10 minutes. his street was really confusing, you always got the address wrong no matter how many times you repeated it to yourself beforehand.

eventually, you managed to find his house by recognizing the stupid little frog statue he had on his front lawn. it had a cute little sun hat on it, and it looked like it was waving. you smiled to yourself and got out of your car, grabbing all of your belongings and locking the doors.

you rang the bell and patiently waiting for him to open the door. when he did, he had this stupidly large grin on his adorable face.

without saying a word, he gently pried your bags from your hands, plopping them on the floor inside his house. once he finished doing that, schlatt wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you in close.

you let him embrace you, enjoying his tight grasp and the way he stroked his hand up and down your back.

"hi. you said you wanted to have a talk?"

"oh, right. in a bit, come in," he smiled, opening the door and allowing you in before following suit. you didn't bring bullet with you, and you were starting to regret it. he was staying with one of your friends for the week while you visited schlatt. it would've been more fun if you brought him, but you didn't want to impose on your boyfriend. boyfriend. you'd never get over that.

"ya wanna grab yourself a drink? im just gonna put your stuff in my room and i'll come right back," schlatt gestured to the kitchen, and you nodded back to him. he took your bags and left to his room while you went to the kitchen.

you opened his fridge, already feeling comfortable enough to act as if this was your second home. which it pretty much was. you had spent enough time with him, at his place, just being around him generally to know that he wouldn't mind if you made yourself at home.

pouring yourself a cup of apple juice, you grabbed another glass and poured one for schlatt, too. speaking of, you felt his arms wrap around you again as he tucked his chin into your shoulder, sighing.

"are we going to talk now?"

"honey, let go of the talk. we'll have it later. is that for me?"

you nodded, handing him the glass. you knew he told you it wasn't going to be that kind of talk but you were still really nervous.

schlatt unwrapped himself from you for a second to take a sip of apple juice, making an obnoxious slurping noise before putting the cup down and grinning at you.

"so, a little get-together with the guys. thoughts?"

"like last time?"

"yeah, but i don't think their girlfriends are goin'."

"that's okay, i can wait here, no big deal," you were a little bit disappointed, but you knew that he needed time for himself, too.

"no, i want ya to come with me. the guys like ya, it'll be fun."
