sorry for taking so long to update, i took a little break lol. if the ending is bad it's because it's almost 4am where i am so i will read over (and probably edit) the story later on.

you woke up, looking around for a second. it was 8:47am, and schlatt was snoring softly beside you. the two of you were covered in the sheets, and you didn't need to look under them to know what had happened last night.

anyway, you could see that he didn't have his shirt on. the blanket only covered up his mid-back, so his shoulder blades were exposed. biting your lip gently, you watched his peaceful state. his hair was floppy, his facial expression passive and quite frankly, adorable.

he looked so calm. it completely warmed your heart. you were so very content in this moment, it all felt so perfect. you sighed, sitting up and reaching a hand out to rub your fingers gently over the scratch marks on his back that you had left. they were a slightly dark pink, much better than the angry red that they were last night.

you kept repeating that action, happy with just sitting there. he shifted for a second before settling down again and sighing loudly.

"that feels good," he murmured, face buried in his pillow. schlatt reached an arm out and hooked it around your waist, pulling you to him. he moved over and rested his head in your lap, facing the right.

your legs tangled together and you scratched his scalp and also the nape of his neck. you could hear him mumble incoherently, clearly just as pleased as you were.

"hey, we have to get up. the dogs," you told him. he grumbled and slowly sat up, facing you with a wide, sleepy smile. you returned it and pushed him away, getting out of the bed and taking the sheets with you, wrapping them around yourself.

"nothin' i haven't seen before," he called out to you as you entered the bathroom after grabbing your clothes. shaking your head, you changed quickly and swiftly finished your morning routine, rushing to get to bullet and chief.

when you made it to the living room, you saw that the boys were still sleeping in their respective kennels. you weren't exactly sure what to do, should you wake them?

while deciding, chief lifted his head and let out a whiny yawn. this woke up bullet, who stretched haphazardly and pawed in your direction.

you opened his kennel as well as chief's, allowing them to come out. bullet padded his way over to his pee pad and used the bathroom. you gave him treats and praised him.

after filling up both of their bowls and taking them out for 15 minutes, you walked back into the bedroom to see schlatt buttoning up his jeans. he turned to face you, chuckling at your blush.

"m'sorry i didn't wake up earlier. you tired me out," he smirked, pulling a sweater on and adjusting the collar.

the entirety of last night replayed in your mind, every soft touch and breathy moan that came from both of you. it made your ears burn up just thinking about it.

schlatt gave you a knowing gaze, clearly having the same thoughts as you were. when your eyes met his, he laughed and he made his way to you.

"it was nice, though," he grinned, cupping your jaw and pecking your lips chastely. he was right, it was nice. better than nice, actually.
