Chapter 25: You woke up

Both POV:

Hours later and Carina was still sat with her girlfriend but this time accompanied by little Jamie, curled up in her arms, as the brunette softly stroked his hair, whilst her other hand was tightly holding onto her girlfriends. She started to hear low whimpers, as she looked up she saw Maya start to stir, "shhh shhh Bella it's ok" she soothed. "C-carina?" She asked wanting to know if the Italian was there, "Sì Bambina I'm here it's ok" she said removing her hand from Jamie's head to softly stroke the blondes soft silky hair. "I'm sorry" the blonde said, suddenly feeling terrible for what she put the brunette though. "Bambina you don't have to apologise, you almost died, if anything I'm thankful" she replied letting a tear slip down her cheek. The blonde weakly reached up to wipe the tear away, Carina could see that her girlfriend struggled with such a simple movement, as she was searching the blondes face for some sort of emotion she was feeling, she saw the blonde lift the cover off of herself and then her hospital gown. The blonde gasped at all the scars covering her soft milky skin. Maya traced the muscles of her stomach stroking around all the scars, "Bella your still beautiful" she whispered letting her girlfriend know that know matter how many scars she's always going to be gorgeous in her eyes. "I'll they heal?" She asked taking a sip of water from the cup next to her. "Sì the swelling will go and the scar should hopefully fully go if you rest and don't pick at them" she said, wanting her girlfriend to have the fastest recovery so she could get back to work. "Ok" she responded sighing. "They found him Bella" she said smiling at the blonde happy that her father was finally found and will put in Prison immediately, "thank god that man deserves to rot in jail" she said happy her father was found. "Can I hold him?" The blonde asked referring to the sleeping boy in Carina's arms. "Sì be carful tho Bella" she said whilst removing Jamie from her chest to lay him down on top of the blondes. "How was he?" She asked, "he was really good, he missed you though kept on asking for you" she responded softly. "I was wondering..." Maya started wanting to ask Carina a question she's had on the edge of her tongue for months, "I know it's not been long, but I love you and I don't want to ever be apart from you, that week away made me realise that I need you in my life to be good" the brunette listened to the blonde tearing up at her words, "and plus Jamie absolutely adores you, we both love you" she added grabbing her girlfriends hand stroking her thumb over the soft skin. "So Carina DeLuca would you do the honour of moving in with me?" She asked hoping to God she'd say yes. Carina sat there for a second her heart beating fast and her throat dry, of course she wanted to live with Maya, "Sì Sì Sì! A thousand times yes!" she exclaimed leaning down to kiss her girlfriends forehead and then placed another soft kiss to her lips. "I love you so god damn much, I'm so lucky" the blonde said, letting the tears fall and not caring anymore. "I love you more, always" she heard the Italian whisper running her fingers across her cheek.
