Tradition , tradition, tradition quarter back dates the captain of the cheerleaders . At 16 you 'd shift under the light of the full moon , The Alpha kings son takes over when he steps down. The son inherits the family business . Everything was set in fucking stone, everything was already written so it didn't matter what the fuck you wanted because your suppose to play your part , sacrifice your happiness and your life to pass on the torch so that the fucking wheel could keep spinning .
The most painfully thing I've ever had to do in my life was turn, I couldn't remember it I don't think anyone did but I remembered being in pain, excruciating pain as your own body takes the form of another, people over time learn how to control it. I hadn't gotten the hang of it yet so until then I was a slave to my emotions and the full moon. I didn't like having to wake up in the middle of fields naked covered in the blood of whatever animal happened to cross my path. I sure as fuck didn't want the weight of my whole community on my back, but like I said it didn't matter what I wanted.
I'd be lying if I said my break up with Stacy didn't hurt it's probably the second most painful thing that I've had to go through. But the more I thought back to our memories the more I realized that I didn't love her , I'm more upset at the fact that it's over then the fact that we're not together. She didn't know a damn thing about me . She was just someone I thought I should've been with , she fit the description and she somewhat filled the void. The only person who knew me was Finn.
Finn knew me better then I knew myself, he knew what I'd do before I did it , I found it annoying at times how I couldn't get anything past him but he gave the worlds best advice, he was loyal to fault , he didn't see me as Royalty or the son of the Mayor , or the schools QB golden boy. He saw Mason . I remember one time I made a joke that if he was a girl he probably would've been my mate and he said

Finn had it hard him and his whole family , see finn was born a wolf like me but technically we were brothers though we actually weren't. Finn was a McCann clan wolf so he was part of the royal blood line. It all started when his father and my father were in highschool. His dad didn't know my dad's little family secret. Long story short sometime right after my father shifted they got into an argument. My dad having freshly shifted had no control over his emotions ended up shifting chasing Mr, Hartland down and mauled him almost to death but he bit him in the process releasing the toxin into his body. He was in the hospital for about a month until the full moon hit and he was completely healed. Since he was part of the McCann clan he wasn't fucked with but he was bitten and not born so he faced that discrimination the same one that Finn faced within the community constantly being looked down on and called " sully"
