Chapter 25 - Hidden Sand Village

Naruto's Point of View

"Hey, so where's (y/n)?" I ask everyone.

Pervy Sage, Granny Tsunada, Scar Face Mei, Shizune, Kakashi Sensei, Sakura, Termari, and Shikamaru all suddenly became quiet. Kakashi Sensei had just told us about wanting to show our progress of our training. Which made me realized now that (y/n) isn't with us. Come to think of it, Sakura didn't answer my question when I asked about her. Then again, I was punch by her for no reason.

'Why is everyone acting weird when I said (y/n)'s name?' I ask myself.

"I'm sorry, Naruto." Kakashi Sensei is the first to speak. He doesn't sound too happy. "(y/n) is-"

"Visiting her clan!" Sakura cuts off and smiles. "Yeah! Remember, she told us about her clan don't stay in one place. So, she's visiting her clan member's birthday."

"That's cool of her, but should we wait for her?" I ask another question.

"No," Scar Face Mei said. "She'll show her progress another day. Let's focus on the two of you first."

(Y/N)'s Point of View

I was supposed to escape. I was supposed to leave and join Touka with The Arcs. I was supposed to be in hiding and return home to Spicy, Alice, and everyone. However, like glass, it shatters into pieces. I was told to assist with Deidara and Master Sasori to capture Gaara who is the holder of the one tailed beast. Itachi didn't like the plan is ruined, but knew I have to participate. I didn't even have time to get away for a moment and sent out a warning message to Lady Mei and Lady Tsunade. Lady Mei told me before that Master Jiraiya had spread the word to all lands about the Akatsuki and keep their villages guarded.

I had hoped The Hidden Sand Village is prepared to attack and defend, but it had shatter as well. A shinobi had doubled cross his village and to Gaara who is also his Kazekage. I stayed in the sidelines with Master Sasori and watched Deidara battle out with Gaara. Then watched Gaara slowly winning which turned to a shocking defeat. My eyes then saw my old friend, Kagome, in full attack mode. I wanted to let her win. I wanted to assist her in this fight and save Gaara. However, I couldn't. Not while both Akatsuki members are in the same place. Leaving me no choice but to attack her. Luckily, she didn't recognized me. I eventually paralyzed her and saw the heartbreaking look on her face. I heard her scream out Gaara's name which hurts me as well that I couldn't stop it.

After all that, we all traveled to the closest hideout that we were in. I ride on Deidara's bird clay creation with the unconscious Gaara on as well. I have reasons for being on the bird. The first is because my feet are tired. The second is to make sure none of them notice Gaara's Sand Armor is leading a trail for the Sand Shinobis to find us. I plan to hope an army of them would come quick. I knew I can't take down both of the Akatsuki members at the same time. If they come, both of them will have to separate no matter what. If I can get Deidara alone, I can save Gaara. Or at least keep him distracted while the Sand Shinobis take Gaara and run. Either way, my mind only wants three things: save Gaare, return home, and end Deidara for what he did to my brother and take back what he stole from him.

Suddenly, Master Sasori stops which made Deidara and the bird stop as well, "Hmm? Sassori? What's the matter?" Deidara asks him.

"I wouldn't have thought it's possible," Master Sasori said. "We're being followed."

"Hold it right there!" I hear a familiar voice. I look up to see Kankuro with Kagome. "We meet at last. Hand over Gaara now!"

Kankuro doesn't look happy at all which is no surprised. Kagome still looks beaten up from last night, but standing fine. I notice she still doesn't have her wires with her. She didn't have them before either. Maybe she's relaying on her kekkei genkai now. Either way, I need to make sure Deidara and Master Sasori separate now.
