Chapter 17 - Betray (part three)

Kiba's Point of View

"With me right in front of you, you can't even howl like a loser...? Eh?!" The enemy sound ninja said to me.

I remain where I am. Holding and comforting Akamaru while laying on a tree motionless and bleeding. How did I end up here? I was asked to join Shikamaru and the others on a mission to bring back Sasuke. I agreed because not just because Sasuke is a fellow comrade but the bastard for what he did to (y/n). One by one, we all separate from each other to fight off the other Sound Ninja Four. Our plan was going well when we got Sasuke until I separated myself and one of the enemies away from the others. I honestly thought I could easily beat him until I saw that it's not just him. He had his brother fused inside him. Soon enough, Akamaru went down badly, and I was fused with one of the brothers. To break free, I had to stabbed myself and jump in the river to hide. Akamaru is still breathing, but I was low on chakra that I couldn't even move nor fight. I thought I hid myself well until one of them who is with me wore my jacket I stupidly left in order to hide his scent.

'This is it, right?' I ask myself in my head. Then grin and laugh a little to myself.

"Don't you be smiling before you're going to die!" He shouts, then pulls out his kunai. Ready to kill me.

I remain grinning and then close my eyes. Am I accepting my defeat? Yes. Am I ready to die here? Not really, and not even in the future. Before the enemy's kunai can touch me, something protected me from dying. Or rather someones I knew was they coming towards our direction. I look up to see who it is and see the enemy ninja isn't too happy.

"Heh... It seems you guys are allies this time..." I said to the Sand Ninjas who were once enemies, but now protecting me.

"What? Who are you two?" The enemy asks them.

"We're allies of the Leaf Village..." Kagome answers him.

"We're shinobi of the Sand..." Kankuro answers him as well.

"I knew I smelt you guys," I said to them. "I'm just a little surprise that the sand and the leaf are allies again."

"Well, I can't let (y/n) get all sad that her doggy boyfriend is dead," Kagome teased me.

"W-What?! I'm not her boy-" I stop myself from finishing my words. Then remember she and (y/n) are friends, which makes me wonder if she heard about her or not. "Hey, Kagome, about (y/n)..."

"I know. I heard," Kagome said. "We'll see her when it's all over."

Sasuke's Point of View

"Like I told Sakura, It's over, so move on already," I said to Naruto so is trying to stop me from leaving. Something on Naruto's face makes it funny. He's wearing a shock and angry face. It's so funny that I started to break out laughing. "What's with the angry face? It looked like (y/n)'s face before I slaughter her down and left her to bleed to death."

"(y/n)..." Naruto said in shock to mention her name. "Why... Why did you do that to her...?!"

'Because I thought she would understand... But she was a lie...' I thought to myself.

"Why is it... Sasuke... Why are you doing this?!" Naruto shouts at me.

(Y/N)'s Point of View
