Chapter 42 - Arena

(Y/N)'s Point of View

Nothing. That's all I could feel from my head to my toes. Not even the dry dirt. Tiny sharp pebbles and glass shards that are hitting the skin on my legs as I am being drag by the arm to my temporary home. The halls are thin enough for three people side by side to fit through. The collar they put on me is tight and hurts. I couldn't lift my head to look around my surroundings. I could only hear the echos of other prisoners. Half begged for the guard out loud to set them free while the other half asking who am I and can they fight with me. I can sense how many and almost half of the building. It's a hidden building that's behind a waterfall and five levels of prisons down below from the arena.

"Here's your new home, girly," the guard said to me. He pulls me up by my arm and shirt to toss me in my cell. "Don't worry. You won't stay long. The new kids are always the first to go in the ring." He laughs while locking the cell door before he leaves.

I try to push myself up from the ground, but I end up falling back down. My body feels like I'm training with Lady Mei again. I struggle to move my arms to help me crawl closer to the cell door. Then I got close and reach to touch the bars to help me get back up. The prisoners' voices still echos while my eyes scans the behavior of each of them in their own cell. My eyes finally lands on a cell in front of me. A female who I can only see the back of her head, but I am familiar with her hair color. Purple-ish blue hair color.

"Touka!" I shout her said but she didn't move. "Touka, it's me! (y/n)! Wake up! Touka!"

I hear Touka groan and rolls her body to finally face me. Her eyes took a minute to look at me until it widen in disbelief. "(y/n)? What are you doing here?" She asks me.

"Oh my... You're still alive...!" I said happy and relief.

"How...? How and why are you here?" Touka asks me while getting up. "Ahh... Am I seeing things now...?"

I took the opportunity to observe every new detail on Touka. Her hair is a mess. I don't mean in knots, but like a blind person chopped it that's so uneven and an eyesore. So much untreated wounds and dry blood. Her body looks pale in the dark which I hope I am mistaken, but comparing to the other prisoners who are skin and bones, she looks like she hasn't eaten much yet still ate little.

"Touka, I came here with Nikko to get you, his partner, and everyone out," I start explaining to her. "Your clan came to the Leaf Village for help, but Nikko wanted a 100% sure thing, so we planned to get captured and right now waiting for the recuse team to show up."

"You met my clan? Wait, you fought against Taro? Knowing he has the same forbidden jutsu I have?" Touka asks me and I slowly nod.

Touka told me when she escaped the Anbu and ran to The Village Hidden in Fog, she met Naku, the old lady who was a criminal and my birth mother's real mother. She told Naku about her and was helped by her to keep her cool from her insanity she was going through after the long affect from her forbidden jutsu, Blood Puppetry. Later on, she found out what Naku has been doing and stopped her. Which was the same time when Naku found out about Touka's Water Shizengan on her left eye is Naku's eye and tried to used her jutsu that she secretly trained herself to use, but failed. Anyways, I had remember the scary and intense feeling when it was used on me. Touka even warned me about the affect of madness, seeing things, and to never go near her if it happens. I thought having Nikko with me when we met Taro would be different. Especially, since Nikko is advance and well controlled with the jutsu. But it was a complete different level. The way Taro did to us was completely different on how Naku did from long ago. Even Nikko said that he didn't know his older brother was stronger. He was also tamping the effects, but at the same time, he let it out. All out with the guards doing nothing, but watch. Ending it in a minute. Basically, instead of faking it and  pretend to past out. We were really out.
