"Jeno. Come on, you can't just mope around all day."
Heartbreak. A rare occurrence that only comes about when the ones you loved leave you behind to suffer in your own sorrows. The crying, the binge-watching, all that eating just to numb the pain, it disgusted Jeno. Just the thought of having to go through the pain of heartbreak, it was enough to make him gag. But who could blame him? The boy always believed he'd never have to go through that type of pain, considering he had a pretty good relationship with his girlfriend.
Well, ex-girlfriend.
Jeno's first dose of heartbreak was brought to him in the spring of his senior year of highschool. His golden lover of his youth had just left him, broken and hurt. Almost like karma, the boy had to go through the suffering of heartbreak, he cried, he watched a new drama every day, and he ate all the junk food in his kitchen drawers. Yet, it seemed he'd never get over his broken heart.
"Hyung, I don't wanna get up," Jeno complained, probably about to cry for the seventh time in the day.
"Jeno, you need to go out in the world. This is just unhealthy of you," Doyoung nagged, Taeyong hitting him to use more sympathetic words.
"He's going through a breakup, Doie. Let the boy have some space," Taeyong mentioned.
"He's been like this for a week, Yong! The new semester is starting soon, and he hasn't even done anything!"
Jeno's reliable hyungs, Taeyong and Doyoung, had come over in hopes to get the poor younger boy out of his misery. Jeno didn't exactly want them over - mainly because they wouldn't be a good enough help - but the two older boys insisted since they claimed that they were "breakup experts." Clearly, they're not the best at their job.
"Look, hyungs. I really appreciate you guys trying to make me feel better, but it's gonna take a long time until I get over her. I swear, she was the one," Jeno muttered under his pillow.
The two boys looked at each other and then at Jeno. In almost complete unison, the both of them sighed, "We know, Jeno. But you need to get out of the house, otherwise you may just never get over!" Doyoung commented.
"What Doyoung is trying to say," Taeyong conveyed, sending a glare over to the unsympathetic boy, "You need time to heal, but sleeping in your room all day isn't the best way to do so. Go out with us for a day, please. Hyung will treat you. It'll make you feel a lot better."
Jeno sighed, "Fine, let me get ready," He said, climbing out of bed.
Doyoung patted the younger boy's back, "It's okay, Jeno. The sooner you get over this, the better. It's not like you'll ever have to go through the same heartbreak again."
Jeno looked up at the older boy, giving him the best smile he could force himself to make, despite his sadness.
"You're right. Never again."
