Hyesoo say it to my face coward
"I love you."
"Okay, wow, I didn't mean literally."
Jeno rolled his eyes at his girlfriend, "Say it back, why don't you?"
Hyesoo teased him, placing a hand on her chin, acting as if she was pondering. "I mean, maybe. Do I love you?"
"Well, I sure hope you do. Otherwise, this relationship has put us in an awkward situation, doesn't it?"
"It sure does."
Life surely does work in a funny way, does it not? Around a decade ago, Jeno and Hyesoo had parted ways over an insecurity that's been washed away in the present. But still, the thought that it took them so long to get to a happy stage was just mind blowing.
It wasn't that they weren't good together, no. Rather, the couple were just so good together that the only thing that was stopping them was time. Time was a complete and utter bastard towards them. It bashed and punched Jeno and Hyesoo into entirely different universes, but even then, that wasn't enough to keep them apart. They were always the right person for each other, but at the wrong time.
The right time has come though.
There was nothing in this entire world that could keep them apart now. Everything was bliss, and the two couldn't be any happier. Everything was right, and nothing could ruin the strength that they had now. Maturity sure does help the two of them.
"I love you, Jeno," Hyesoo uttered, a smile etched across her face, "You know that, right?"
Jeno looked down at the girl and smiled a smile so bright, it was filled entirely with love, "I do."
The two of them stared into each other's eyes, remembering all the trials of their relationship. It brought them great surprise and joy to know that despite it all, in the end, it was always the two of them.
Unaware as to what Siwoo is saying, Jeno continues to yank his arm out of her hold. And so to his surprise, when she lets go, Jeno stumbles and accidentally bumps into someone, resulting in him falling on top of the poor human being under him with his eyes closed due to embarrassment.
Fuck. That hurt like a buttcheek on a stick.
"Um, hi?"
Jeno slowly opens his eyes, and slightly gasps in shock.
