The school day had gone by almost too normal

The school day had gone by almost too normal. Classes were boring as usual, and nothing seemed to change in the school's social atmosphere. The Dreamies experienced many people's confessions as per usual, which included many rejections, but that's nothing new. However, Jeno did get to see Jisung try and talk to a girl today, the comedic gold the boy needed. "Today has been surprisingly good ever since this morning," Jeno thought to himself, "What's gonna happen next?"

But alas, nothing has happened as Jeno heard the sound of the dismissal bell ringing through the hallways of the Academy. The sense of peace in the atmosphere frightened Jeno as it was almost too good to be true. His thoughts were muddled in his mind as he packed up his bag for the weekend at his locker. "Maybe today is my day," he thought, "Nothing terrible has happened today since this morn-"

"Hey Jeno."

Jeno winced at the sound of his name from behind him. Poor boy, thought his day was going to be great, but for some reason, the world conspired against him for the 7th time this week.

Fuck. I spoke too soon.

Jeno turned around to see Siwoo, smiling that stupid smug smile at him. The amount of times Jeno has heard her nasal voice and seen her smirk in an attempt to flirt with him was too much for the boy. To him, it's been way too many times for a normal person to have to endure.

"Look, I know you said you were busy this morning, but what if we just go watch the new movie today? Then you would be free for the rest of the weekend to do whatever you need to," Siwoo asked, batting her eyes.

Jeno's mouth opened. He couldn't believe that the girl was going to ask him again, even after the several rejections he's made. "Uhhh..." Jeno trailed off, he knew if he said no, the girl would ask again repetitively until he said yes. He looked around, hoping for one of his friends to come in and save the boy from his troubles. Soon after though, the boy remembered that Chenle, Jisung, and Mark were working on their projects with their partners, and the rest of the boys decided to go to the library together to study for an exam for a subject Jeno wasn't in, meaning that no one was here to save him.

Shit. I'm screwed.

Jeno looked around the hallways for anything, anything that could save him, but the halls were being emptied as students left to go home for the weekend. Jeno had given up on a saving grace and was about to accept defeat, meaning accepting Siwoo's invite. That is until he spotted someone that could potentially save his life. As long as he planned out what he was going to correctly.

He grabbed a hold of the person's arm and looked towards Siwoo. "Sorry, Siwoo. Not today, Hyesoo and I are actually going to hang out today. You know, go out, just like what regular friends do," he smiled awkwardly.

Hyesoo, stunned by what she heard and the fact that she was dragged away from her locker, looked up at Jeno in perplexion before looking at what was happening, soon realising the situation she was in. She turned towards the girl in front of her, who seemed to be disgusted and annoyed at the sight of Hyesoo. "Uhh, yeah," She awkwardly said, "We were."

Jeno nodded almost too eagerly in an awkward manner before dragging Hyesoo out of the Academy, closing the girl's locker door and grabbing her bag on the way out. Siwoo turned to exit, her eyes forming slits as she looked at the two who had left her, she was furious. "Who is that girl, and why is she always around Jeno?" She thought to herself. Siwoo grabbed her bag and started to make her way out of the Academy, in an attempt to subtly follow the two.

Jeno had dragged Hyesoo all the way out of the Academy. Once they had arrived at the front of the building, Jeno took a minute to catch his breath before handing Hyesoo her bag, which was slightly open due to the wind opening it up bit by bit from all the running the pair had done.

"Sorry about that," Jeno said, "I didn't mean to drag you into my mess."

Hyesoo shook her head, 'Totally fine," She said, "So, where are we going?" She asked, clasping her hands behind her back.

Jeno's eyes opened, "Oh, no. I actually wasn't, I mean, we weren't actually going anywhere."

"Well, you might want to because she's behind us right now," Hyesoo said, looking behind Jeno's back, she spotted a still mad Siwoo spying on them, very obviously.

Jeno was too afraid to look back, but he did anyway which he regretted. The girl was right, Siwoo was looking at the two of them right now. He turned back to face Hyesoo who still looked up at the boy, waiting for a suggestion on where to go.

"I, uh, actually don't know where we could go," Jeno said, stuffing his hands in his pockets while looking down at the ground from slight embarrassment.

Hyesoo's ears perked up slightly, her eyes opened in joy as she smiled, "Really? Then I have an idea of where I can take you," she exclaimed.

And before Jeno could say anything else, he was dragged by Hyesoo to the bus stop.
