As the both of them gradually were lifted off the ground, the view of the entire park could be seen. The night sky made the lights of the rides and stands become brighter, and Jeno and Hyesoo couldn't help but stare in awe at the view. "How breathtaking," Jeno thought to himself. The boy peered over to look at the girl in front of him. She had her hands up against the window as she looked out into the park lights, a wide smile plastered on her face; Jeno couldn't help but smile at the sight of her being happy.

The two stared outside, both of them attracted to the sparkling lights and the neon colours that illuminated the ground. However, there was a slight feeling inside Jeno that he wanted an answer to. Hesitant for a minute, Jeno thought to himself on how to approach the conflict that he was having.

This shouldn't be a problem. Right?

Hyesoo turned to face Jeno for a second. To anyone, looking at Jeno from the outside, he seemed happy as he enjoyed his time here, but to Hyesoo, she could tell by the slight nervous look on his face that something was wrong. She turned back to look outside again, "Anything troubling you, Jeno?" She asked.

Jeno looked over to her in slight shock. "How did she know?" He thought to himself. Jeno rubbed the back of his nape, thinking of a way to word his answer. "I guess so," the boy said, his voice trailing off.

Hyesoo looked over at him, "Want to talk about it?" She asked. Jeno nodded. He would like to ask his question, but he was nervous as to what type of response he was to gain. The boy took a deep breath before looking at Hyesoo, who was already staring at him, waiting for an answer. "This memory," Jeno thought to himself, "seems all too familiar."

It was another night, the now slightly stressed college students were high school students with a lot of freedom and a lot of energy. It was the same night as their first date to the amusement park, the first time Hyesoo had ever been. She couldn't have been more happy that day. The two were walking around, a cotton candy in Hyesoo's hand that the both of them shared together.

Jeno had told Hyesoo that he brought her here because she had never been, but the underlying reason was because he had seen the girl seem slightly upset. It was most likely because the girl felt suffocated at school, seeing others try and flirt with her boyfriend which made her feel insecure with herself, but that was something Jeno never knew about. The boy wanted to ask her why she was feeling sad, but was once again, hesitant. He didn't want to hurt any of her feelings or bring up a subject that was too touchy for her. And Hyesoo could recognise that.

"Something troubling you, Jeno?" She asked, her eyes looked up to meet Jeno's.

"Yeah, kind of," he said, ruffling his own hair out of nerves.

Hyesoo stopped in her tracks and turned to face Jeno, "Would you like to talk about it?" She asked.

The boy nodded, taking a deep breath before asking his question, "I just wanted to know," he said, "Why have you been acting slightly down?" He asked. It was most likely not the best way to word the phrase as Jeno could see Hyesoo's smile disappear. "I mean," he started again, trying to salvage his question, "When I'm not with you, I see you always upset. Is there something wrong?"

Now, Hyesoo was a young, slightly dumb teenager. She knew what her answer should've been, she should've told Jeno the truth. Instead, the girl decided that she would drag out her reasons for a bit longer as she had hoped that this was just a phase in her relationship, and that her insecurities would go away. She shook her head, "Nothing is wrong, Jeno," she said, a smile on her face, "Everything is okay."

"Okay then," Jeno said, taking a hold of his girlfriend's hand once again as they continued to walk.

And this was the first of many lies and cover ups that Hyesoo used to hide the fact that she was slowly dying on the inside from her own toxic thoughts. Because that's the type of girl Hyesoo is, she would never tell the truth because she believed there was always another way around a conflict. She believed there was always another way. But because of this, she chose the wrong path of decision, and that led to the downfall of her highschool romance.

"Jeno? You good?" Hyesoo asked, waving a hand in front of Jeno's face. The boy had forgotten that he was spacing out. He jolted up, a sign that he had come back down to reality again. "Huh?" He asked.

Hyesoo giggled her bubbly laugh, "You said you wanted to ask me something," she said, "But you spaced out and forgot to ask."

Jeno let out a small 'o'. He shook his nerves out before replying, "Right. Well, I wanted to ask you," he trailed off, "Why did you break up with me?"

And once again, Hyesoo's smile disappeared off her face. She turned back to the outside view, "Isn't it lovely?" She asked, attempting to change the topic. The girl was still unready to answer his question. Jeno's mouth opened wide, slightly flabbergasted as to why Hyesoo didn't respond to his question. However, Jeno always has a million reasons as to why something happens. "Maybe she isn't ready for this topic yet," He thought to himself. He looked over to the girl, she was once smiling at the view outside, but now, she looked outside with a look of dread and fear.

Hyesoo was tempted to fidget with her clothes out of nerves. "Not yet," She thought to herself, "I can't tell him yet."
