"Hey baby," Hyesoo said as she took a seat next to Jeno on the gym bleachers. The spring air brightened the mood as the wind lightly breezed through, the trees swaying along with the breeze, "What are you writing?"
Jeno looked up from the sheets of paper he had been scribbling on and looked towards the girl, almost hitting his guitar that was by his side, "Song lyrics," he said with a gentle voice and that sweet eye smile.
"Song lyrics? Wow. Jeno, you must really like music," Hyesoo exclaimed. She found it quite interesting that after five months of dating, she hadn't known about her boyfriend's love of music.
Jeno nodded eagerly. Besides Hyesoo, Jeno only had one other soft spot, and that was music. He enjoyed every single little thing about music. How the piano brought in the melody, how the guitar would create soft riffs here and there, and even how the bass guitar would tie in the whole piece together subtly. He loved every single little thing about music, it had brought him to a place of serenity.
"Really? Would you like to write music for a living?" She asked, her smile radiating care and love.
Once again, Jeno nodded, writing a couple more lyrics on the pieces of paper he had before he reached for his guitar, playing a couple of chords to see what sounded melodic.
"Well, I hope you're able to accomplish that goal. I'll be rooting for you!" Hyesoo said with a smile. She then proceeded to lean forward onto her arms as she watched Jeno sing little soft songs.
And, Hyesoo kept her promise. Every single showcase or performance that Jeno had, she was there, even if she had a prior engagement. She knew how much he loved music, and vowed to herself that she would always support him in this journey. In fact, she even bought Jeno a guitar for his birthday that he promised he would keep forever.
"You know, I never got to thank you," Jeno said, looking up at the sky as the sun was about to set. It was another casual date the two were having, a sunset picnic.
"Thank me for what?" Hyesoo asked, turning her eyes away from the beautiful sunset sky and instead towards Jeno.
"For everything. The guitar, the support, the inspiration. You really did help me in my journey through music, and I'll always be grateful." Jeno replied, smiling at the girl as she looked at him with admiration and love.
"It was all you. It's your music after all, of course I would help you," She said with a small smile.
Jeno looked at her with love in his eyes before leaning in for a kiss, which she obviously returned.Ah, good times. Too bad it didn't last long.
Jeno woke up, slightly shocked. He rubbed his head, trying to see if what he dreamt of was actually real.
Did I just dream of her?
Yeah, you did mate.
Jeno took off the blanket that he was physically wrapped in and began getting ready for school, still slightly shocked. "Why would I dream of her? I'm over her, right?" he thought.
