His footsteps were heavy as he grudged through the halls of the Academy. Many of the students peered over to him, staring in fear. Jeno has had bad days before, but this, this was a new fury. No one has ever seen it before. His aura and movement went along with the anger in his mind, but if you took a second to peek closer, you could see through his eyes that he was about to break and potentially cry.
"Lix, where the heck are you?," Jeno heard his younger friend yell into his phone, "Oh. Hi, Hyung!" Chenle said quickly, before he ran off towards the exit. Jeno rolled his eyes at the sight. Not because he despised what Chenle was doing, he was just in a bad mood. And with that, Jeno continued walking out of the Academy, straight to Love Talk.
Ding Ding.
The sound of the all to familiar bell at the front of the café rung as Jeno walked into Love Talk. Hendery, who was currently working his shift, looked up at the younger boy with a smile. He was about to signal to Jeno that he was going to make his usual order, but by one look at Jeno, he cowered back and began working at the coffee machine without a second glance.
Jeno's eyes never changed looks. He was vividly furious, and that was enough to scare the rest of the customers away from the table he was heading towards. "No need to be so angsty, Jeno," his friend chuckled, taking a sip of his tea.
"Shut up," Jeno said through gritted teeth. Though he wasn't angry at him, Jeno has a habit of carrying his emotions with him for a long time. The boy across from him pouted, "Hey," he whined, "Is that any way to talk to your favourite hyung?"
Jeno rolled my eyes, "Since when was it you, Mark hyung?"
Surprise, surprise. It was Mark who Jeno had called. Despite the fact that yes, they were originally going to meet up, Jeno was on the verge of cancellation to talk with Hyesso more. Perhaps he would've if he didn't hear the all so sudden news. Good thing Mark was already there though, the older wanted to say hello to some of his working friends.
"Okay..." Mark said, dragging out the last syllable. He didn't want to upset Jeno more than he was. If there was anything Mark knew about the boy is that he should never piss him off. "What's wrong, buddy?" The older asked, grabbing the cup of herbal tea Hendery was bringing; Mark had specifically ordered it as he knew whenever Jeno's emotions were strong, nothing but tea could calm him down.
"Hyesoo," Jeno answered quickly.
Mark let out a small chuckle in hopes to lighten the mood, "You gotta give me more than that, Jeno," he said.
"She lied. I asked her why she broke up with me, and she lied. She gave me a crappy ass excuse because she didn't know what else to think of. I'm sick of being lied to, you said that it gets easier to love again once you open up, Hyung. Then why does it seem that the world doesn't want me to love?" Jeno said, letting out a deep breath before plopping his head into his arms as he rested against the table.
