𝟏𝟏 | 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬

As the two young college students approached the bus stop, to their luck, the bus had just arrived. As the doors opened, Hyesoo dragged Jeno, who was still confused as to where they were going, though still making his way into the bus. After paying for their bus tickets, they sat down closer to the back of the bus. Hyesoo sat closer to the window as she stared outside, daydreaming and thinking about life. Jeno sat there awkwardly before turning towards Hyesoo, hesitantly tapping her shoulder to ask a question.

Hyesoo turned to face him, she smiled, her smile radiated this glowing aura that Jeno couldn't help but feel nervous around. His nerves were getting to him, and he couldn't say anything. He took a deep breath and composed himself before asking his question, "You still haven't told me," he said, "Where are we going?"

She giggled, her laugh felt as if the Suns' rays were illuminated on her, it sounded like a melody that you could never get sick of. "You'll see when we get there. It's a surprise," She said before continuing to look out the window. Jeno nodded, slightly frustrated at the response he got before he too looked around the bus, thinking about his own thoughts.

"Jeno, you still haven't told me," the highschool girl pouted, "Where are we going?"

Jeno simply smiled, his eyes once again forming crescents before kissing her cheek, "You'll see when we get there," he said.

Hyesoo pouted, but nevertheless, she sat down, leaning her head on Jeno's shoulder, thinking about all the possible places he could be taking her. Jeno peeked down to look at his girlfriend who was thinking of any possible place he was taking her, her lips forming another pout while her hair covered her face. She blew her stray hairs out of her face, partly in frustration, but also just because it bothered her.

Jeno chuckled before kissing his girlfriend's forehead. "Fine, I'll tell you where we're going."

With that statement, Hyesoo's perked up as her eyes glimmered in excitement. Jeno couldn't help but feel a tingling sensation in his heart at the sight of Hyesoo's reaction. She nodded towards him, signaling an answer. "We're going to the amusement park. I remember like a month ago you said that you had never been, and I thought that this would be a nice surprise," Jeno stated.

With just that one response, Hyesoo smiled like a little kid again, her cheeks might as well be hurt from all that smiling that was happening. She was genuinely excited and thankful for Jeno, you could tell just by how her hands were fidgeting in excitement or how her smile was ten times bigger than it usually is. Looking at her, Jeno knew that this date was going to be their most special.

And it truly was. The couple had spent the entire day going on roller coasters, playing carnival games, and making memories that could last a lifetime. It was towards the end of the night, the two had spent the most fun they had ever had. The lights illuminated the entire park which could be seen from above inside the cart in the ferris wheel. Hyesoo looked down at the park, her eyes gleaming in complete and utter joy; Jeno couldn't help but also feel happy just watching her.

"Hey babe," Jeno said, Hyesoo turned around at the sound of Jeno's voice, "I've never asked you before. Why do you like theme parks so much?" Jeno asked.

Hyesoo smiled, "Because theme parks bring joy!" She exclaimed like a little kid. Jeno smiled back at her before they both stared down at the park again. The atmosphere was joyful with memories that could never be forgotten.

The loud alarm from the bus, signalling that they had arrived at the next stop, which happened to also be where they were stopping, brought Jeno back to reality. He turned to his left to see Hyesoo Looking back at him. They stayed like that for a couple of seconds until Jeno realised what was happening and quickly stood up. The both of them got off the bus, Jeno taking a deep breath before looking at Hyesoo. He couldn't take that much of a break as he had to quickly follow Hyesoo, who was already walking off to where they were headed.

"So now will you tell me where we're going?" Jeno asked.

Hyesoo looked up at him. Realising she still hadn't told the boy, she chuckled at herself, shaking her head, "Oh. We're going to the amusement park," she said, her gleaming smile lit up the mood once again as she looked straight in front of her to make sure she wouldn't fall.

"Amusement park," Jeno thought, "The place of joy," he thought, smiling to himself, softly laughing at the underlying reason for going to the park.
