Sunday

Sunday. According to what society has practiced and taught generations for years, Sunday is the day of rest. And with resting comes little stress. But there he was, the man who literally always overreacts and stresses, Lee Jeno, who is pacing around his bedroom, attempting to collect his thoughts.

Why, you may ask? Because the boy foolishly ignored all his problems instead of overcoming them for the past days that now he doesn't know what to do. His choice was simple, it was either he opened up to the world and started loving what he wants to again, or continue to be closed off and cold-hearted. Though the choice seems easy, Jeno didn't know what to do. After all, he isn't the best when it comes to change. "I need help," he thought to himself, looking at his phone, scrolling through his contacts to find the person he was looking for. He sent a quick text to his lifesaver, who luckily responded, agreeing to meet up with Jeno. To this news, Jeno quickly started getting ready. He wrote a small note for his parents, if ever they were to read it, letting them know he was going out. Once he finished, he left the house and started making his way towards Love Talk Café.

Upon arrival, Jeno heard the sound of the bells at the front door, signifying his entrance. Hendery, a good friend of Mark and also sort of the rest of the Dreamies, looked up at Jeno, quickly giving him a signal to show that he was going to make Jeno's usual drink. Jeno gave Hendery a small bow as a symbol of gratitude before he sat down in a small booth at the corner of the café

After a bit of waiting, Hendery gave Jeno his drink and walked away. Jeno took a sip of his coffee, and just in time, his saving grace had arrived. "Hey Jeno," he said, sitting down in the chair opposite of Jeno. Jeno nodded at the older boy, "Hi Mark hyung," he said.

"So," Mark said, taking a sip of his own coffee that was just given to him, "What do you need to talk about?" He asked.

Jeno was never the type of person to talk about his feelings with his friends, except Mark. Since his first year at the Academy, Jeno knew he could always trust the older boy. If there was any need for help for any of the Dreamies, the most likely first person they would call for would be Mark. He was the safe haven of the group, you could go to him for advice, and he would return what you asked for in tenfold full of needed assistance and comfort.

Jeno sighed, "I guess," he started, "I guess I'm just having a hard time with my feelings," the younger boy said. Mark gestured for Jeno to elaborate, which made the younger boy pause for a minute, figuring out how to word his problems. "You know my ex, Hyesoo?" He said, Mark nodded, "Well after being assigned her partner for the project, we hung out." He continued.

Mark chuckled, "And? What's so wrong with that?" He questioned.

"The problem is I'm confused," Jeno said, exasperated, "I think I still like her again. But, I don't know if I want to. I don't want to get hurt again."

Mark smiled at the younger boy who he thought looked the most innocent he'd seen him as. Seriously, Jeno looked like a poor puppy that was lost, unsure of what to do. "I say," Mark said, "Do what makes you happy."

Jeno groaned, "Hyung! That doesn't help at all," he pouted, "How am I supposed to do what I want if I don't even know what I want!"

Mark shook his head, "You know what you want, silly. Your mind is just stopping you from what it is. You need to let go of your past Jeno. Yes, the past hurts, but who said the future is the same? Jeno, you know what you want. Life is always changing, so why don't you change with it," the older boy said. Mark stood up and patted Jeno's shoulder, "I've got to go," he said, "Jeno, follow your heart. You've got this!" And that's the last thing Mark said before leaving the younger boy, sitting there in the corner of a coffee shop with nothing but himself and his thoughts.

Huh, Follow my heart? Maybe I should start doing that.
