38. dysfunctional family

"Cmon" Jesse says grabbing my hand as we walk across the open kitchen. I look over at cliff as he walks around the island back into the kitchen and he's already staring at me? I walk into the back hall leading to all the rooms following close behind Jesse.

I turn back to see Malek and the rest of them following behind us, he's looking at me with a weird look but I turn back around and follow as Jesse opens the end room, passing all the ones
Without ribbons.

"Oh my god" she says as it opens to a large room with glass walls and Matt back finishing, and a large bed with white sheets.

"I will bunk with you if you want me too" Jesse says looking back at me

"Partner?" I hear Holly ask Malek softly from behind me and I roll my eyes

"Definitely" I say to Jesse but she's already glaring out behind me into the hallway at Holly and Malek

"I'm with Ivy" I hear Malek tell her and I turn around to them

"I'm with Jesse" I say with a fake smile

"In the nicest way possible, no the fuck you aren't" Malek says looking at me then to Jesse with a glare. Well that feels good at least.

"Cmon" Malek says nodding his head to me before walking back down the hall and opening one of the rooms before entering

I look back at Jesse and she's smiling, guess that's a good sign. I roll my eyes and pass Holly confidently in the hallway before walking into the room with Malek

He's standing beside the door running his hand through his hair waiting for me. He immediately shuts the door behind me and my heart starts racing, am I in trouble?

"What the fuck was that" he says turning to me and I can't form any words

"Why are you acting weird, why wouldn't I be staying with you" he says confused, trying to hide his frustration in his voice but failing

"What about Holly?" I ask biting the inside of my cheek nervously

"What about her?" He says confused

"Who is she?" I say crossing my arms

"I've known her since I was a kid" he says and that's not going to cut it

"Ynow Malek you might actually have to tell me about your life at some point" I say rolling my eyes

"She's like a sister" Malek says and clenches his jaw

"Why can't you just explain who she is?" I say confused. It's not that hard

"We can talk about this later" he says and I can tell he's mad, his fists are clenches and he looks ridged.

"Fine" I say rolling my eyes walking past him as I push him out of the way.

I open the door and walk out into the hallway when I see Holly has decided to bunk with Smith.

Jesse sees me from her room and immediately comes to me as we walk out of the hall towards the kitchen and living room.

We immediately step up onto the landing and go for the table and sit down alone

"What did he say" Jesse asks looking at me confused

"He said she's like a sister" I say shrugging

"Well that's good then" she says and I nod and try to let it go and give him the benefit of the doubt

"Hi" Willow and Nova say stepping up to the table greeting us with a smile
