We find an airport and immediately Violet is silencing questions as we find a flight from Moscow to Los Angeles. Violet works more of her magic getting us all seats as we make our way to the terminal, people giving us looks as Malek has a hospital gown and sweats on while I'm covered in blood. Thank god it's the middle of the night and less people are here.

"We need to change" I say to Violet and she nods before ducking into a shop in the airport before finding me a new t shirt but Malek refuses to change and move his arm. He pulls the hospital gown off from around his neck and throwing it in the trash. Wonderful now he has surgical bandages on his shoulder with his arm in a sling while shirtless in baggy sweat pants. We definitely aren't standing out. I roll my eyes at him as Violet convinces the cashier to give me and Aaron new shirts for free while I change quickly in the washroom, throwing the old bloody shirt in the trash. My sweats still have some stains but it's nothing that stands out too bad.

We look like a freak show regardless walking around as a group with half of us wearing white shirts and grey sweats and white socks from the prison. Without Violet we'd never make it. The whispers start to get louder as we pass bigger groups when suddenly everything goes silent and we can't hear them anymore? I turn back and realize Bane has silenced the sound in the airport?

We continue to walk through the airport to our gate as I watch people giving Malek strange looks but he ignores them.

We wait for maybe 20 minutes before it's time to board the plane, we enter with a lot more stares, Violet dealing with the ladies at the gates questions.

We enter into the plane as Malek doesn't even read his boarding pass as he goes to around the middle and sits down next to the window pulling me down beside him.

"These aren't our seats" I say looking at him

He grins before looking up to the front of the plane then to the back. "I don't think anyone will notice" he says rolling his eyes as the plane is practically empty.

It fills up with our group and some more strangers as Jesse sits down in front of me with Aaron in-front of Malek.

She turns back in the seat looking back at us through the seats.

"Make sure he takes his meds on time, this is a long flight and we don't need him complaining" Jesse says and I nod before grabbing the bag of his meds from his sweatpants pocket as he shakes his head at us

"Thank you mother" Malek says sarcastically,  lifting his legs and kicking across to the back of her seat making me smile as I roll my eyes

"This can't be your seat numbers" Malek says to Jesse and Aaron

"Doubt you two happened to be placed there either" Jesse says with a small laugh as the air hostess starts speaking Russian into the mic at the front as I feel the plane start to back out away from the terminal.

"Were gunna have to join the mile high club in the washroom then" Malek says and my jaw drops as Jesse laughs with Aaron

"Shut the fuck up" I say shaking my head looking at Malek as he grins

"Maleks gunna have to take some pointers from Aaron about letting your partner lead for a while with his arm out of commission" Jesse laughs looking back at him making me grin

"Not a chance" Malek says with a small laugh kicking her seat again making me laugh.

Eventually the plane is lifting off as we make it into the sky as my ears continue to pop.

After a while I rest back into the seat watching out the window when Malek looks over at me making me look up at him.

  "What" I say watching him

"What happened in there, before we came" he says watching me and my stomach twists

"It wasn't good" I say and I see the discomfort in his body language

"Why?" He says trying to stay neutral

"They where a lot worse, we had it lucky" I say and I see his jaw clench when suddenly his brows furrow as he looks down

"Is that a bruise?" He says sitting up as he takes his hand and twists my head back exposing my neck as he runs his thumb along my neck

"Probably" I say and I can see him starting to get mad

"What did they do to you?" He says trying to hide the anger in his voice. I'm now scared to tell him.

I don't want him to worry about it and I know he will, I could never tell him about the showers he'd go ballistic.

"They where just aggressive, they would throw us around" I say not telling him everything as he's clearly already very upset

"Did anyone touch you" he says and I can see him as his demeanour has completely changed, he's stiff with his jaw clenched clearly trying to hide the rage building

"No" I say immediately knowing he would lose it if they had, I need to try and calm him down

"They just threw us around, I'm fine Malek" I say and I can see him soften slightly

"I better have killed that fucker" he says sitting back into his chair and it's just now I realize that Malek has killed people... like actually killed human beings. Aaron, Holly, Willow, and Smith aswell. They probably all did. They had to though. They almost killed Malek too, they did. Technically.

I sit back playing back the events as I remember the burning bodies and Malek shooting people dead, blowing up the building. I never knew he could really do that, he engulfed the entire thing. That's what Doctor Martan realized that day in the terrarium with Jesse, I could see the fear on his face.

I look over to Malek before grabbing his hand squeezing it, he looks down at me before lifting the arm rest dividing us before pulling me into his side, kissing the top of my head as I hug his torso.

"I love you Ivy" he says after a moment as heart stops to his words. I look up to him immediately reading his face carefully as he looks down into my eyes.

"I love you too, Malek" I say and he bites his lip slightly before leaning down into me, kissing me. I should've told him sooner, I can't believe this is the first time we're saying it. I can't believe I never told him before I left in that night.

I don't really know what our future at this point, all I know is we're heading back to America and I can never leave his side again.
