55. a house divided

I stay in the shower for a while longer after Malek has already stepped out and started shaving. I eventually am able to pull myself out from the warm water as I step out and grab a towel, wrapping myself before walking out into the room to find the bed is stripped making me blush.

I change into sweats and a sports bra before leaving out into the hall and into the kitchen as Malek is leaning up against the island eating. I walk past him as he eyes me carefully before sitting down on the couch next to Jesse.

"Must have been good" she says and I blush

"What?" I say knowing exactly what she's talking about

"You have the I-just-had-sex glow" she laughs.

"I'm fucking with you I walked past to the washroom and I sounded like you where.... enjoying yourself" she says laughing and my face goes red.

"Shut the fuck up" I say shaking my head and she laughs

"I think Cliff heard you too" she says and I want to die right now. How many people heard us? Fuck.

"You think I should get Malek to give Aaron pointers" she grins

"I'll never talk to you again if you don't shut the fuck up" I say shaking my head embarrassed

"Fine, fine" she says laughing

"Ivy?" I hear and I turn to Willow standing on the other side of the couch

"Can I get your help with something?" She asks and I look back to Jesse and she shrugs

"Yeah? Sure" I say standing from the couch as I follow her past the kitchen to the gym?

We walk in to find Aaron, Holly, Cliff, Jeremy and Violet inside?

"Close the door" Cliff says and Willow does

"What is this?" I ask confused looking around at everyone as they are sitting and standing around the equipment in a circle.

"We're going to do something" Cliff says looking at me? I look to Violet and she smiles shyly

"We need to do this" Jeremy says and I agree

"When?" I say confused

"We'll leave tonight, we're wasting to much time, there's a plane organized heading to a moscow, it's just outside the testing facility" Cliff says and my stomach twists

"What about the rest of us?" I say confused, what about Malek, Smith, Jesse, Nova and ledger?

"They will try to stop us" Aaron says and I look up at him and I feel sick. "You know Malek won't let you do this, neither will Jesse we can't tell them" he says and I know he's right

"Tonight we will meet outside at 2 am and head for the airport on foot, we have Jeremy with us so we'll be there in no time" Willow says

"It will take most of my energy to move that many people that quickly but I can get us through most of the plane ride" he says and Cliff nods.

"How does your power even work?" I say looking up at him

"I can move through time quicker so I don't have to sit through it but I can see into the past with precise accuracy" he says and I nod still not fully grasping it

"Are you in Ivy?" Holly says looking over to me and I swallow hard before nodding.

I feel sick.

We continued to plan for a while before exiting in intervals not to make it suspicious.

I walk down the hall before walking into the kitchen as I grab something to eat out of the fridge before leaning against the island eating as I stare out the window while my thoughts race.

"Where did you go?" Jesse says coming up to me, scaring me

"No where" I say refocusing into real life

"Willow came and got you to take you 'no where'?" She asks sarcastically

"She just had a question" I say and Jesse nods unconvinced

"Want to go down to the beach tonight and go skinny dipping with Malek and Aaron" she grins

"No" I say looking at her confused. I can't ruin this for us. For Violet. For all of them.

"Well okay then" she laughs "I was trying to get Aaron in but he wasn't feeling it either" she says leaning against the island looking into the living room at everyone.

I turn around and watch aswell as Malek is talking to Holly on the couch while Aaron Cliff and Jeremy are talking.

"Didn't know Aaron's got all buddy buddy with those two" Jesse comments and I nod

"Weird" I say and she looks up at me. "I mean eventually they where going to be friends I guess. It was just us four for so long it's strange ynow" she says and I nod

"Are you okay? You've said like 3 words" she says confused

"Yah I just... have a headache" I say and she nods

For supper Cliff makes homemade pizzas with Nova before Jesse proposes a movie as we all gather around.

I sit down on the couch and not too long passes before Malek comes and sits down beside me with a blanket before laying it out ontop of me, leaving himself out.

I crawl closer towards him resting my head up against him while wrapping my arm around him securely.

"I'm not going anywhere kid" he says letting out a small laugh as he rests his hand around me holding me against him.

I don't move the entire movie, I can't. I feel him softly run his fingers up and down the length of my back soothingly and I have to fight the urge to cry. Can I really leave him here and not tell him?

How am I supposed to leave him in the night and go directly to the enemy. I'm walking right up to prison to pick a fight hoping not to get shot or worse, captured. I look across the couch to Violet and she's not even watching, not that she can even understand the movie. She is just picking at her fingers nervously, all she's done is cry since she got here. We're wasting time to help, their is literally people captured and being tortured right now as we're sitting around watching a movie, pretending nothings happening. The only feeling now worse than leaving Malek is not doing anything at all. I can't just stay here waiting for them to come get us, possibly losing my power and be imprisoned again.
