"Hey, can you get that for me?" You ask Norman. You're outside, behind the house doing laundry but you can't reach a small pair of white pants since they're too high up. He nods and quickly grabs it and hands it you.
"I have an idea. Starting today, let's play tag in teams" Norman says after handing you the pair of pants. He turns his body so it's open towards you.
"In teams?" Emma asks. She's standing behind you and Norman holding a basket with other white laundry.
"Honestly, most of them would die if they escaped on their own" Ray says from the other side of the drying rack. He's hanging laundry as well.
"Come on Ray" Emma whines. She doesn't like that Ray is so negative all the time.
"I'm not saying they don't have some potential" Ray responds, "but we shouldn't run solo". Ray hangs up his last article of clothing before walking through the drying rack towards you and the others, ducking his head so he doesn't collide with one of the poles.
"We should make formations and run in groups" You suggest as you grab a pair of white socks and hang them.
"We should play so that it's similar to what the real escape would be like" Ray also suggests. He puts his hands in his pockets and stands next to you.
"I have another idea as well" Norman adds. You, Ray, and Emma all turn your attention towards him, "let's tell Don and Gilda. If we get them on our side then we can have them be group leaders".
"Well what if they turn out to be Mom's spy?" Ray asks. It sounds like he isn't in favor of the idea which is understandable.
"Yeah, if one of them is the spy then our whole plan will be ruined" You add before turning to Norman for his response.
"Don't worry. I'll basically be killing two birds with one stone, just leave it to me" Norman says before putting his index finger up to his lips, "i've already made arrangements". You and Emma both look at each other in suspicion. What could he possibly have planned?
"Emma." Ray says trying to get the ginger's attention. Emma spins her head in his direction. "Memorize these formations. There are a hundred of them".
"Wait, do you mean by ear?" Emma asks with a nervous smile. You can tell she's a little intimidated by the number.
"Is that a problem?" Ray asks with a smirk.
"Easy peasy!" Emma responds. Her face is filled with determination to do her best.
"Y/n" Ray adds. You tilt your head up to the tall figure standing so close to you you're practically touching, "Can you go gather everyone? We need to do this as soon as we can". You nod before hanging up your last piece of laundry. You take the wicker basket that was previously filled with white clothing of various sizes and walk into the house.
A while later, everyone from ages 6 to 15 is gathered under the tree that stands closest to the house, and they're all buzzing with excitement.
"The goal here is to not get caught. You have ten minutes" Ray explains as he stands in the center of the crowd, making sure everyone's listening.
"Go!"
You look at Emma and Norman and nod as you start to run.
"Everyone, follow me!" You say while you turn your head and look back at the children running behind you.
"Let's surprise Ray and win!" Norman adds while he also has his head turned. You turn your head back and continue running forwards. You, Norman, and Emma lead the group into the woods and after a while, Emma holds her hand up. She sticks up three fingers signaling to split into three groups. You then take a sharp right while Norman continues straight and Emma makes a sharp left, cutting the group into thirds. You run for a while longer before slowing into a steady walk, giving everyone a short break.
