"Demons? A-a farm?" Don spits out. You, Norman, and Emma are sat across from him and Gilda at a table in the library.

"You're saying... every one of us was raised just to be eaten?" Gilda says in disbelief. The light from the lantern in the middle of the table lights up their terrified faces.

"And Ray is... a spy? No way" Don says. His eyes are widened completely and he seems to be in shock.

"He did it for us" You say in response.

"Then Ray, you knew what was going to happen to Conny that day?" Don says as he stands up out of his seat, "And Y/n, Emma, and Norman? You guys lied so we wouldn't know you were taking us into a world full of demons?". He sighs and then starts to laugh, his chuckles getting louder and louder.

He must be really on the edge.

You furrow your eyebrows and look at him and then at Gilda, Emma, and Ray who's still sitting in the rocking chair. He seems to be unfazed by Don's reaction. Suddenly, Don reaches over the table and throws a punch at Norman, landing right on his left cheek. Norman is thrown back and collapses onto the ground. Emma and Gilda gasp as you widen your eyes and look at the boy laying on the wooden floor.

"You're kidding me?" Don shouts while he looks down at Norman.

"Wait Don, stop!" Ray says as he gets out of his chair and marches over to Don. Don doesn't think twice before throwing a punch at Ray too, making him fall to the ground. You gasp and hurry over to him. His cheek is red from impact, but he seems okay. It probably hurts like hell though. You look over and see Emma and Gilda crouching beside Norman to see if he's okay. Don quickly sweeps you off your feet and grabs the collar of your button up shirt. He brings you closer to his face and your toes are the only thing keeping you from being in the air. He brings his right hand up next to his head and forms a fist. You stare at him in fear, looking right into his brown eyes. He groans before putting his fist down and releasing his grasp on your shirt. You fall to your knees on the floor and cough.

"Don" Gilda says as she stands up next to him.

"Are we that much of a burden? Are we that weak and useless to you that you feel the need to protect us?" He asks the ginger haired girl, "That time, when you asked us to help you. I thought you were actually relying on us. Was that a lie?". You look up from the ground and around the room. Ray's gotten back to his feet while Norman is sitting on the floor.

"We're not as smart as you four, but we're family. Aren't we?" He shouts as he starts to cry. Tears fall down his cheeks, "I just want you to have a little faith in us!".

"Sorry. I need to cool off. I'm going outside." Don says as he lowers his tone and walks across the room.

"Don, wait" Gilda says before following him into the hallway. You keep your eyes on the door before sensing something in front of you. You turn your gaze and see Ray reaching his hand in front of you. You take his hand and he helps you up from the floor.

"Did I not have faith?" Emma says. Her head hangs low in shame. Norman shakes his head and puts his hand on Emma's shoulder trying to comfort her.

"Do you think we should follow them?" You ask the group. Ray and Emma stay silent.

"Yeah. We didn't get a chance to apologize." Norman responds. You nod and start to walk into the hallway, the other three follow close behind. You walk through the dimly lit hall and staircase before exiting through a door in the kitchen. Out in the grass you see Don crouched on the ground, his face buried in his hands. Gilda is sitting behind him rubbing his back.

"Emma, grab a light" Norman asks Emma. She nods and runs into the kitchen. She comes back moments later with a lit lantern. Instead of stopping and standing with the rest of the group, she runs out the door and into the grass where Don and Gilda are sat.

"Don! Gilda!" Emma says. The two turn around and see the ginger haired girl running in their direction. They stand up and face her.

"I'm sorry. I was way too naive. I was ready for you to resent me but not at all ready to believe in you" She apologizes.

"Same here" Norman says as he walks over to them and stands next to Emma, "I'm sorry". He bows his head. You think for a moment before walking over to them as well.

"I'm sorry too. I really am" You say as you look at Don and Gilda.

"Well I- I shouldn't have punched you like that Norman, sorry. Are you okay?" Don asks as he bows in apology.

"I'll be alright" Norman laughs.

"We realized that it was a bad idea to act on our own" Gilda says as she looks down at her shoes.

"Yeah. Ray had every right to get mad" Don adds.

"Please, forgive us" Gilda and Don say in unison.

"Well, will you?" Norman says as he turns to face Ray who's a few feet behind everyone else. Ray looks away and stays silent for a moment.

"Yeah I forgive them" He scoffs as he rubs his head, "If the worst happens I'll figure out how to deal with it". Don smiles and you do too.

"I should also apologize, sorry" Ray says before bowing. Emma and Norman look at each other and giggle while you keep your gaze on the tall boy standing behind everyone. You're amazed he even agreed to come outside with you, let alone apologize. You grin at him and wave him over to the group. Ray looks up from the ground and walks over to you. He stands next to you and slings his arm around your shoulders.

"Since you know the truth, I'd like to confirm something before we continue. The outside world is full of demons. If we mess up, we die. Knowing that will you still come with us?" Emma asks Don and Gilda. They look at each other before looking back at Emma.

"Of course we will!" They say in unison. Emma smiles and shakes their hands. You watch and smile to yourself before you see Ray turn his head back in the corner of your eye. You look up at him as he keeps his eyes glued on the back of the house.

"Ray? What's wrong" You ask. He turns his head back to you and looks into your (e/c) eyes.

"It's nothing, don't worry Y/n" He says in reassurance. You keep your gaze on his before shrugging and turning your attention back to the group. You're fully aware he's bluffing, but you can't tell why.
