"Y/n! Wake up!" You hear a small voice say from the side of your bed. You flutter your eyes open and see a small group of children gathered around you.
"Happy Birthday!" They yell in unison, smiles wiped across their faces.
Right. It's my 15th birthday.
"Thank you guys" You smile. They giggle and run off together leaving you alone in the bedroom.
You slept surprisingly well last night and you assume that they let you sleep in since nobody is in sight. You stand to your feet and grab your clothes and hairbrush. You quickly get dressed and brush your hair and head downstairs. You descend the stairs and go outside through the front door. You circle around the house but nobody is in sight. There's a possibility everyone's in the forest but Mom and Sister Krone would still be in the house. You circle around the house another time just to be sure, but you still can't find anyone. You walk back into the house and decide to start checking the rooms. Mom's study, the bathrooms, and the classroom were all empty. The only room you haven't checked is the dining room. You walk into the large room with sunlight beaming through the windows.
"Hello?" You ask, seeing if anyone was there.
"Surprise!" Multiple voices yell as they jump out from hiding spots. You jump in surprise and see that all the children worked together so they could surprise you.
"Happy 15th Birthday Y/n!" Emma says with a smile from ear to ear.
"Did you put this together Emma?" You ask with a smile. Emma always goes all out for birthdays.
"You bet I did! I got everyone to pitch in!" She replies. You look around the room and see kids as young as four years old smiling and laughing.
"Wow, thank you!" You say with excitement. Birthdays aren't normally your thing but something about today feels different. Everyone scrambles to their seats for breakfast and you do the same.
"Where's Ray and Norman?" You ask Emma.
"They're in the kitchen" Emma replies as she sits in her seat across from yours.
"The kitchen? I didn't know Norman could cook" You laugh.
"You're right, he can't" Emma replies, "He's probably just helping Ray by handing him stuff". The two of you laugh before Ray and Norman walk out of the kitchen with breakfast for everyone. They place the breakfast on each table and then sit in their seats.
"Happy Birthday" Norman says with a soft smile.
"Thanks Norman" You smile back as you watch him take his seat to your right.
"Happy Birthday, Y/n" Ray says from his seat on your left. You turn your head and face him. He has a small grin on his face.
"Awe does Ray feel like being nice today?" You say sarcastically.
"Shut up" He says before he forms his hand into a fist and lightly taps the top of your head.
"I was gonna ask how your cheek was you idiot" You mumble, "Norman how's yours?". The fight with Don happened just the night before and you can imagine they might be a little sore.
"I'm alright" Norman laughs before he takes a bite of his meal. His cheek looks completely healed and has no discoloration at all.
"And you, Ray?" You ask the ravenette boy.
"I'm fine, it just hurts when I touch it" Ray says. He's less fortunate and his cheek has some light red-purple tint to it.
"So how's your birthday going so far?" Emma asks.
