Alex looked over at George confused on why George was just standing in reception and not walking off.

"𝙶𝚎𝚘𝚛𝚐𝚎?" Alex questioned walking up to where George was.

"𝙸 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚛𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗, 𝚜𝚑𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚠𝚎 𝚐𝚘?"

George said not even waiting for Alex or looking at him, just leading the way.

The started to walk up the stairs, side by side Alex near the inner railing as George was taller and walked faster.

"𝚜𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚍𝚒𝚍𝚗'𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚋𝚞𝚜?"

Alex tried his best to make small talk.

George just silently shook his head.

"𝚆𝚑𝚢 𝚍𝚒𝚍𝚍𝚗𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞?"

He looked over at Alex who was now focusing on his feet and didn't really look up at George.

"𝙴𝚑, 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗 𝚒𝚜 𝚛𝚎𝚕𝚊𝚡𝚒𝚗𝚐,"

He mumbled quietly.

"𝙾𝚑 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚒𝚝."

"𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢? 𝙸 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗!"

Alex piped up, he was now looking at George, a wide smile spread across his face.

"𝚆𝚑𝚢?"

"𝚁𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 𝚍𝚊𝚢𝚜 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚢 𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚝𝚜"

Alex beamed at this remark, it made George smile knowing something so small, like rain, could make someone so happy.

"𝙾𝚑?"

He smiled and looked over towards Alex again.

"𝚈𝚎𝚊𝚑 𝙸 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚍𝚘 𝚙𝚑𝚘𝚝𝚘𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚙𝚑𝚢 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗, 𝚒𝚝𝚜 𝚊𝚕𝚜𝚘 𝚜𝚘 𝚛𝚎𝚕𝚊𝚡𝚒𝚗𝚐"

Alex smiled at George.

"𝙽𝚘 𝚒𝚝'𝚜 𝚖𝚒𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎"

They chuckled before Alex replied.

"𝚈𝚎𝚊𝚑, 𝚖𝚊𝚢𝚋𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞, 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎𝚗'𝚝 𝚏𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚜𝚘𝚗 𝚝𝚘 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚒𝚝, 𝙸 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚒𝚝 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚙𝚒𝚌𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎𝚜 𝚒𝚝 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚍𝚞𝚌𝚎𝚜"

'the right reason?'

"𝙸 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚒𝚝, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝙸 𝚗𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕, 𝚒𝚝'𝚜 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚊𝚗𝚗𝚘𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐..."
