I stared at the beautiful city. Liyue!

I glance at Xiao, who's looking in another direction. I groan and he looks at me.

"What now?" He asks.

"Xiao! Come in with me, I don't want to be lonely. It's scary to waltz around by myself in a big place." I pleaded.

"No."

"But what if I get, like, jumped or something. I need someone to back me up." I put my hands on my hips.

"Then I'll find you. It's not hard." He said simply.

I sigh, defeated. He won't come. No budge, no nothing. He's going to MAKE ME GO IN BY MYSELF.

"You're crazy," I whine and he shoots me a glare. I ignore it, not fazed by it. I'm used to the occasional glares and stares. They could be good, or bad. "I guess I'll run around all by my lonesome. I'll be back before sunset." I say and walk off.

"Don't fall in the water." He mumbled.

I turn around and stick my tongue out. "Sure."

"Woahhh! This place is so cool~" I say out loud.

I hear a bunch of people gasp and scream.

"What's that?" I mumble to myself, peeking behind a wall.

Dude! Is that a dragon? Holy crap!

I run up to take a closer look.

"Hey, what's going on?" I ask a random person.

"Rex Lapis has been killed! Seal all the exits!" A pretty lady yelled.

Suddenly, guards came flooding in. Um, this is scary. I hope Xiao's okay.

I turn to a blond dude with a floating fairy looking person. "Is that dragon Rex Lapis? What happened?"

He looks at me and furrows his eyebrows. "I don't know what's going on."

"Paimon doesn't either! But...did she just say Rex Lapis?" This floating fairy said worriedly.

"Wait, you mean the Geo Archon is dead?!" I yelp. I also kinda eavesdropped on people taking about a dragon called Rex Lapis.

"These weirdos look like they're nabbing suspects who were close. We were close!" Blondie said.

"Paimon's freaking out! The killer could be anywhere amongst us!"

Oh no! I wonder if Xiao heard the commotion from the hill he's on...

(back with ya boy Xiao:)

"They're gonna take all day...might as well take a nap."

(back with you:)

"We're suspects then!" I say quietly.

"Aether! Where do you think you're going?!" Paimon said to the blondie, so his name must be Aether then.

"We can't fall into their hands. Paimon, stranger I feel like I can trust, come with me." He said and started running. Paimon and I look at each other with a worried look and shrug, following close behind.

The three of us hide behind a big bush.

"Okay, we can't let them see us. There's a whole bunch of them!"
