Chapter 4

Amy was now 4 months pregnant and living in a beautiful Cottage on the farm Beth sent her to. The retired Farmer rented most of his fields and paddocks out and he let people board there horses in his 24 stable barn. He told Amy that she could put Spartan in a stall rent free and she could rent the cottage for $100 a week which included Electric,  Logs, and Propane Gas for the cooker and the boiler which was for Hot water and heating the Radiators which would kick in if the fire died down and it was really cold. For the first two weeks Amy had lived in her Trailer on Beth's small holding, she had a very small house and a 100 acres, so Spartan stayed in the Paddock which was much better than staying in the back of the Trailer.

Beth called Amy into the office,
"Amy there's a Veterinary Conference in Quebec next Month but I can't go so I'd like you to go, your booked in at the same Hotel where the conference  is, so you don't have to worry about driving back and forth,  be there Sunday afternoon and that way you'll be there for the morning, food is paid for as part of the room including room service ".
"Oh Wow thank you Beth".
"Hey  you've earned it. While your here  someone phoned up asking me if I had an Amy Fleming working here two days ago and I could honestly say  No we don't, but as requested I didn't mention your new name".
"Thanks Beth I Just don't want them to find me yet, if they know and let it slip to anyone and he finds out, I know he's locked up but he has friends on the outside".
"That's Okay Amy,  I perfectly understand, now the conference is in four weeks which means your going to be 5 months pregnant, is that okay".
"Yes, I'll be fine".
"Okay, and Amy, Happy Birthday ".
"Thank you Beth,  can't believe I'm 23 already".

A month Later and Amy was 5  month's gone and walking into the Hotel for the Conference,  she booked in and went to find her room.
Thankfully she's living in Quebec so the trip from ST Raymond to the City Centre ony took 30 minutes .
The following morning Amy was up dressed and having breakfast when a familiar face walked in, Amy put her arm up and got his attention.
"Well fancy seeing you here Amealia "
"Hi Scott ".
"Wow, how far along are you".
"5 Months curtesy of Carl the rapist".
"Oh I'm so sorry Amy, he's locked up thankfully".
"Unfortunately he has Friends who aren't locked up which is why I've changed my name and will remain in hiding".
"Do they know about your Pregnancy,  the family I mean".
"No Scott, that's why I need you to keep the secrets, here's my new phone number Just in case you need to contact me ".
"Okay, how's your boss".
"She's amazing,  and helped me so much".
"Good I'm pleased for you, are you here all week".
"Yeah, should be interesting ".
"Well someone has noticed you, I think you have an admirer Young Lady, see you at some point this week".
"Thanks Scott ".
Amy looked over and stared back, then this young man started walking towards her. Amy looked down blushing slightly.
"May I join you miss".
"Yes of course,  my names Amealia".
"Hi, my names Ty, Ty Borden ".

HEARTLAND
3 Years Later

Amy had been gone for Just over 3 years now and there was no sign of her anywhere.
Tim walks in as usual without knocking and surprises Lou in the Kitchen in her skimpy see through Bra and thong, Jack and Lisa were away for the weekend leaving Lou and her Fiance Mitch all alone.
"Good morning, O.M.G".
" What the hell Dad, how many time's do I have to tell you to Knock the bloody  Door  and Not Just walk in".
"Er sorry Lou".
Lou walks back to her room and puts a gown on then walks back in.
"What if you'd walked in and Mitch and me were having sex in front of the Fire Eh".
"You do that".
"Yeah dad, sometimes when we have the place to ourselves, now what do you want".
"Have you heard anything from Amy".
"If we had I would phone you, so stop asking every morning please".
"It's been 3 years Lou and not a word"
"Can you blame her Dad, Carl was after her and you gave her the impression that you couldn't give a dam when it took you 6 days to come home".
"Well I've been here every day Lou".
"And how's Amy supposed know that, I mean why not when she was here, your waisting your time and only staying around because you feel quilty".
Then the phone rang.
"Hello Heartland".
*Hi Lou it's Scott*
"Hi Scott, how was your Conference".
*It was great, I bumped into somebody who asked me to phone you and let you know she was fine and her life was fantastic*.
"What,  you saw Amy".
*Yeah I did, she looks as beautiful as ever Lou*.
"Did she say where she was living".
*No Lou she didn't and wouldn't tell me but she asked to pass on her Love to everyone etc, I said you'd been searching for her,  but apparently she's changed her name so no one can find her, not even Carl".
"This is all because of him, she was so scared Scott,  but thank you for letting us know, Did she say what her new name was by any chance".
* No,,,Your welcome Lou, bye*.
"Did you hear that, Scott saw Amy at that conference he went to last week".
"Well tell him to tell us when and where the next one is and one of us could go and find her and bring her back ".
"You can't force Amy to come back dad, it has to be her choice".
"Like hell it is, I'll drag her back".
"And what ,get arrested for kidnapping,  get real dad she's 23".
"I'm still going to have a word with Scott". Then Tim left.
Lou phoned Scott back and forewarned him about her dad.

Later that day Lou and Mitch went to look at a small Ranch House with 200 Acres of land and the house had 3 bedrooms,  Lou had Katie from her marriage to Peter and she fell in love with this little place, there wedding was in two months time although Lou would still spend a lot of time at Heartland because of her Dude Ranch and Mitch was a partner with Jack and Tim with the Cattle business.
