Chapter 27

"Must be a big Idea".
"Well the nearest clinic's the one I worked at in the city and when they heard that I specialise as an Equine veterinarian they practically snatched my hand off".
"What did they do before ".
"Well there's 2 or 3 around so they either had to pass the custom on or pay for them to come to the Clinic and perform the surgery then charge the customer,  but they had only one room big enough and even then it was awkward ".
"Ahhh , so your thinking of buying a clinc and have it altered".
"Actually No, Look how many horses we have here from boarders ".
"You must have what a 100".
"Almost right, 130 and there's absolutely loads of other Ranches who do the same, plus there's Ranches that specifically rely on people taking holidays like up into the mountains on week long Trail Rides, so what we need is a purpose built Equine Clinic Just for Horses with Larger operating Room's and systems like Slings attached to rails to move a horse around from OR to Stall and vice versa".
"Quite an under taking".
"Yes but I'd like to see it working alongside University's for training and exams, we have a shortage Lisa of Equine veterinarians compared to how many horses live in Canada".
"Wow that's big Amy".
"Yes it is, that's why  when it's built , it has to be built in such a way that we can add prebuilt  units on to it as and if we expand, hopefully we can get funding, otherwise it will be Just our private Clinic, I don't mind either way".
"Well you'll need to start drawing up some plans".
"I've put a million in a special fund for the Clinic, and the best place to build it is in the corner at the Top of the drive by the main Road so it's seen".
"Amy, I think you have the right thing to keep him occupied ".
"Yessssss".

Ty and Jack come in finally.
"Thought you'd forgotten about your coffees,  I'll make some fresh".
"Oh Lisa,  we have a wedding to plan for too, Ellen and Mike".
"Oh right, when do they get married Amy".
"In the Fall, should be beautiful with the trees turning reds and gold's".

The following day they were taking Jack and Lisa up into the lower mountains where there was a wonderful high waterfall and a small lake with crystal clear water, it was a sun trap so the water was always warm and Ty reckons there's a  hot spring at the bottom of the Lake, ideal for swimming.  They had a large upright pop up tent for changing in and a folding table and chairs for their picnic as they planned on staying until mid afternoon.
Ellen, Ty, Amy, Jack, Lisa and the children went in the two biggest trucks and when Jack n Lisa saw the place they had to take photos as they couldn't believe how beautiful the place was.

Amy put the Idea to Ty who became quite excited about this endeavour,  and Lisa promised to help them get the project off the ground.
After Jack n Lisa went home, Lisa was true to her word and put the whispers out to the right people.
Before long Amy and Ty had so much help from the Equine community they were overcome,  then Government Officials came on board, the Olympic Committee too came on board including the Universities and Funding programmes who were impressed that they'd put a Million dollars of there own money into this Clinic.
Before long they had help from everywhere,  the size of the original Clinic was now twice the size and even included a Teaching Block  for 50 of the best Students from different Universities and colleges.
The Clinic would have ten operating Rooms with all the latest Technology at there disposal. The Government Officials made sure there were no problems with Permits and Building regulations.
When Lisa spoke to Ty and Amy she was thrilled those whispers got to the right ears.

Amy had dropped the Fleming name from her Family not long after she had recovered from her attack and replaced it with Bartlett  for herself and the Children and Lisa made sure those Whispers she sent out included Amy's well known Miracle Girl name.

Before long the building and Carpark were almost complete and the Name of this Clinic had been chosen

After the horse her mother loved.
Jack and Lisa turned up and when they saw the size of the Clinic were astounded, it had been built with real Wooden Log Facings to blend in with the area and there own Ranch which Lisa noticed had infact been Renovated and the wooden logs restained to match everything else.
This Saturday was the opening ceremony after 18 Months. Everything was on one Level so covered a large Area, that was one thing Ty and Amy wouldn't budge on, it was there Ranch and there Home, they didn't want to have to look at 2 or 3 floors, Just one ground floor was all they needed, there were New Stables built into the side of the Clinic with a rail system to transport horses to OR units if they were unable to walk.
The Newspapers were following the story as were the TV companies.

Little Aelin was 2 years old now and she was Beautiful .
The Clinic was a success and they were busy, there was 2 New Equine vets and Veterinary Technicians,  Amy still worked Mornings only and Ty was enjoying every minute.
After the first year they were finally making a profit and it felt good.
While they were planning and running around both of there nightmares had stopped without them realising and Ty almost  had his Amy back, the one he new so well before they moved to Hudson.

Aelin was now 3 yrs old and Lyndy had started school.
Ellen and Mike were enjoying married life.
Marion was 13 now creeping up to 14 Quickly.
But there was one problem that was bothering Amy, Ty, he was always working,  even when he wasn't supposed to be there, Amy was lucky to see him let alone spend time together and as for sleeping,  well sleeping on her own was no fun when she was supposed to have a husband,  she was starting to resent the Clinic now and yesterday she resigned her post as senior Vet. She was still co owner of the Clinic and didn't say anything to Ty, Amy wanted to see if he noticed,  even the children were asking about there Dad.
Lyndy and Aelin were sat at the Table painting pictures and when they'd finished  Ellen stuck them to the Fridge and Freezer doors. Ellen looked at them but only saw Amy, herself, and 4 children,  there was no Daddy.
Amy walked in from feeding their horses and grabbed a coffee.
"Amy, forgive me for asking this but how long has it been since you and Ty were together inside this house".
"Oh you've noticed have you, err, I think he said good morning about two weeks ago, I'm asleep before he gets  home and he's gone before I wake up, that's if he even bothers to come home, infact I haven't seen him since he said good morning two weeks ago, I'm beginning to wish I'd never come up with the Idea of building the stupid Clinic".
"I'll see if I can find him on the quiet".

"Hello Dr Bordens Clinic, can I help you".
"Oh I'm sorry I seem to have the wrong place, I was looking for the PEGASUS INSTITUTE ".
"Oh this is, or was , his wife left so they changed the name".
"Oh, well can I speak to Dr Borden please ".
"Oh I'm sorry he's away".
"Away, but he told me to phone him".
"Err ,  yes something came up and he's gone to Mongolia ".
"Does his wife know by any chance because I spoke to her last week and she was concerned that she hadn't heard or seen him for almost 2 weeks".
"Well as far as we know she left him".
"No she didn't,  she left the Clinic but not her marriage".
"Oh, well he seemed to be under the impression that she'd left".
"Can you actually get a message to him".
"Er yes".
"Good ,Tell him that his wife and children want him home now before he loses everything he worked so hard for".
"Err okay, I'll try but not sure what his girlfriend will say".
"GIRLFRIEND ".
"M,mmmmm shouldn't of said that, sorry".
Ellen turned her phone off.
"What the hell is he playing at, this will destroy Amy.
