Chapter 24

Jack and Lisa got up in the morning and Jack drove up to the Post box, when he got back coffee was made and Lisa was sorting out breakfast.
Jack sat at the Table and quickly sorted out the post and put it to one side then opened the Newspaper.
"Well Lisa, Ty didn't waste any time.
Both Lou and Tim were arrested yesterday,  Lou for assault and Tim  for Burglary, Theft,  Fraud by Deception".
"Well he told me he'd been to the police the night before and he wasn't taking it anymore where Amy's concerned ".
"I don't think it will make any difference to Tim but Hopefully Lou will realise that her father is bad news, I hope".
"Well its not going to do her standing in the community any good getting arrested for attacking her sister, and talk of the devil here she comes".

Lou knocks then walks in,
"Morning Lou, how's thing's with you".
"Really Grampa, it's in the News Paper,  I can't believe I did that,  I really believed she was Lying about everything,  I feel so terrible".
"Well if you want to put things right you've got about 3 or 4 days before there gone".
"Shit, how do I put this right, everything you said was true and I didn't want to believe it, he was in the cell next to me and the first thing he said was "OH I was going to get you to bail me out". There was no remorse on his face at all, I had a go at him and he said that Amy had a gift that we could exploit ".
"He may think differently when he gets locked up, of course you realise you could get 6 months and a fine of a $1000.  Or Probation".
"Yes I know Grampa,  I didn't think she'd report it though, they said that Ty did it".
"Yes he did, and to be honest Lou I think he held back until you barged in, after that he blew his top, Amy means everything to him Lou".
"I know Lisa and I'm really ashamed of myself".
"That's why the Doctor said this family is Toxic for Amy".
"Well Tim is looking at up to 14 years for what he's done Jack, Lou".
"To be honest Lisa I don't think Amy would want to come back for the court cases so she may put some sort of deal on the table for pleading Quilty so she can stay where she is".
"Well if Tim pleads Quilty he may get 8 years instead of 14. Same goes for you Lou, I can't see Amy wanting to see you away from the children so she may ask for Probation and a fine".
"Do you think she would Grampa".
"It's  very possible,  Amy isn't malicious unless it's her Father, if he won't plead Quilty she'll come to court  to make sure he gets the full 14 years".

2 days later and almost all the packing is done, Because Amy can't drive Ty has arranged for his Truck to go on a flat bed and be delivered to there new Ranch.
Amy's bruised face has really come out now, it doesn't hurt anymore,  it Just needs to heal and she can't wait to go home.
It's  2 more days till Saturday when they will finally leave, but they promised to call in and see Jack and Lisa on there way.
Ty was home now as he handed over to Duncan and Amy asked him to get there Ranch Name sign down so they can hang it at there new home.

Amy phoned the Detective dealing with Tim and Lou and Just as Jack predicted she asked that if Lou pleaded Quilty she'd be happy with Probation and a fine because of the children,  as for Tim if he pleaded Quilty, a reduced sentence would be fine as due to stress she didn't want to come back. But if Tim doesn't want to play ball she'll make an exception and make sure he gets his full sentence.
The detective said he'd put it to the Judge straight away but couldn't see a problem.

Lou had Been at the dude Ranch the following morning when she got a call from her Lawyer, afterwards she sat down and cried,  Amy did do it because of the Children and she was so grateful.  Lou drove straight to the Ranch house to tell Grampa and Lisa.
Lou knocked then entered and saw Jack and Lisa sat at the kitchen table,  she sat down and burst into tears again.
"What's up Lou".
"Oh Lisa, Grampa was right, my Lawyer phoned while I was at the Dude Ranch, if I plead Quilty it's 12 months Probation and a $500 fine, I'm so relieved".
"See Lou I said she wasn't malicious,  she told me that you probably found it hard to believe about your Dad and Amy understands that, she didn't want you going to prison but she did want to make a point. I think she did fine don't you".
"Yes Grampa,  now I need to grovel and ask forgiveness of my little Sister".

The following day Lou made her way to Amy and Ty's.
Amy heard the car and looked out seeing Lou stood by her car trying to decide to knock the door. Amy couldn't take it anymore and went out to her, when Lou saw Amy's face she burst into tears.
"Omg, I'm so so sorry Amy, I don't know why I did it I really don't.  I felt so bad afterwards  I cried all the way home".
"Your here now Lou and I accept your apology, I  knew you'd find it hard to believe what Dad had done, I'm  sorry it came to this. I love you Lou, don't ever forget that".
Lou started crying again, she thought how lucky she was to have a sister like this.
"I'm so sorry, look what I did to your face".
"Lou, it's over, this is what Dad does, he turns us against each other for some perverse reason,  I Just don't understand him.  Come on let's get a coffee and sit out the back".
