"He was in my dreams again last night..."

Song stared toward the wall, past the face of Taehyung who sipped and bit on the end of his straw.

"Sho—you've been having thesh dreamsh?" Taehyung asked while biting down on the straw and sucking the strawberry milkshake, his voice sounding funny in that moment causing Song to smile.

"Yes, plum. I've always been a dreamer, after all, they're one of the only things I can't control," he explained, finally focusing on the cute little face in front of him. "But these lucid dreams of this creature have become more and more common."

"Let me see if I understand," Taehyung pushed his milkshake back to use his hands. "It's basically this horned creature—" he made his fingers into little horns on his head. "—that reminds you of a childhood memory you have?"

Song gave a nod, "the only problem is that even though I physically react, I still don't remember what the memory even was. How strange, right?"

Taehyung hummed in agreement, sliding his milkshake back and tapped on either side of the glass a few times with his fingernails. "It's just like we had talked about before, about not being able to stay in control. Our pasts affect us without us even fully realizing it."

"I guess I should mention another detail about my own childhood," Song moved his hands down onto the table. "A lot of my trauma comes from not only my hypermnesic dreams, but also because I didn't go through childhood amnesia," he explained, starting to look off again.

"Childhood amnesia? So, you like, remember everything from when you were a child?"

"Long before that too. In fact, I remember my own creation. Being surrounded by the universe, I felt indescribable. It's best that most people don't remember that feeling....I don't know how I've lived this long with those memories myself," Song took a drink of his own vanilla milkshake. "I saw nothing—but then I saw everything while swaddled in warmth...always hearing noises too far away to touch but close enough to feel. That's what it was like in my mother's womb."

"No offense...but that sounds kind of gross," Taehyung scrunched his nose, causing Song to break into a small squeaky chuckle. "But, wouldn't that also mean that when you were still a kid you remember those things too?" he added.

Song's head turned down, as if he was thinking hard about what he said. Contemplating. "You know, plum. When I was around...five, or six, my powers fully awakened and begun to lose control. One day in particular, was during my older brother's birthday."

"Jackson?"

"I had another," Song shook his head. "But it was his birthday—his ninth to be exact. Though during the party, being innocent, I tried to blow out my brother's candles before he could. As soon as I did it though, I seized. And I begun to morph through time, going beyond centuries in flashes, traveling all over the world in an instant. I even went back to old moments in my own life, all while being just five or six years old."

Taehyung could only listen. What was he supposed to say to that? Sure, he was the first person to talk to when it came to having uncontrollable powers. But for the first time...he didn't feel so bad about it anymore. Not when hearing Song's story.

"But, enough about me," the older laughed it off and took another drink of his shake, until it ran completely empty. "Dry. But at least I have a cherry left, right?"

Song lifted the cherry out by its stem, shaking it around a little before licking the remaining whipped cream off. He faced forward again, "do you like cherries?"

"I do! I once had this really nice cherry drink at a burlesque once," Taehyung told with a happy grin.

"Take my cherry then. I won't eat it," Song offered.
