Everyone has their garden.

Their garden of Eden, their garden of heaven and escape, and some people have their garden of tombstones all facing towards the sun on a hill, in the middle of a field surrounded by trees.

But the Middle Isle, this was L.H's garden of hope. Her garden of beautiful purple flowers.

For the mentors, it was a second home to them. They place where they trained, where they all met too. It was here.

Seokjin stared at the purple flowers that blew in the subtle breeze with darkened eyes, finding himself getting too caught up in nostalgia. The purple petals blew throughout the air hauntingly.

"Heroes of the future will look at these flowers and know they are safely aligned in their fate. I will protect them."

"Jin," a soft voice called and Seokjin turned over his shoulder to see Hoseok standing there.

"Isn't it Mentor-nim to you?" Seokjin asked a little annoyed. "S-sorry...I'm used to Taehyung calling your that. I just wanted to know if you needed help carrying your things," he asked and Seokjin sighed a little.

"Oh, it's fine. I can get it myself," Seokjin gulped a little and turned to see Hoseok looking a bit concerned. His gaze lowered to the purple flowers.

"Do you like those flowers?"

Seokjin clenched his fist a little by his side, "I do. You should be going to the dining hall now, they will be serving dinner soon. It's best you take a break while here—from being my assistant."

Hoseok noticed his fist was clenched, "I really don't mind, it helps stretch my legs when I need a good run," he smirked before titling his head. He walked passed Seokjin and bent down to the flowers.

"These were L.H's flowers of hope aren't they? Makes sense on why you would like them—"

"I thought I told you to go. And, to forget everything that you saw," Seokjin interrupted. "It's none of your business in the first place," he added.

Hoseok stood up, "I'm not trying to get into your business. You can have your secrets, I just think...the more I find out about you, the more human you sound."

Seokjin's eyes widened only slightly when hearing it.

"A lot of people love to believe mentors are some legendary gods sent from above but in reality...you're people like all of us. The more I see that from you, the more I can respect you. It makes the small people feel small," Hoseok smiles and Seokjin felt his heart skip a beat.

"Human...I don't think I've ever felt human," Seokjin admits as he stared down at the flowers. "Not in this life or the last, I never felt I actually got to live a life for myself."

Hoseok listened closely with soft eyes.

"I never...got to be a good son, or a good brother for that matter. I never even got to be a good husband while it lasted. I don't ever feel good for anything—except for being a hero. That's the only thing I've ever done right," Seokjin's voice wavered slightly. "Being human, isn't me."

"You are more than that," Hoseok interrupted.

"No, I am less of that. I am no human, I am nothing but...a hero," Seokjin immediately argued, his clenched fist going at ease. Hoseok grabbed his hand with both of his gently, being careful.

"I don't think you're right, Mentor-nim. You are much more than that. I will show you," Hoseok said and Seokjin pulled away his hand.

"What? What are you talking about?"
