Chapter Two- Blood Sweat & Fears

The training court was filled with students wearing the training uniforms while stretching and testing their powers. Taehyung felt a bit out of place while wearing his own, it being stretchy which caused him to become a bit uncomfortably self conscious.

There were other students already grouping together, meeting up with their friends and laughing together. Taehyung could only watch and hope the same would happen to him.

"Okay everyone! Your mentors will be arriving soon!" a man announced which caused the students to ready themselves, and Taehyung confusedly did the same.

"You look just as lost as me," a deep, soft voice said next to him.

Taehyung glanced down to see a blonde, brown eyed girl staring up at him with a smile. He instantly smiled, "yeah, I'm a bit new around here."

"Me too! I'm one of the four new recruits," she admits with a little giggle. Taehyung couldn't help but to smile more, she was so cute.

"My name is Chaeah, I'm a rank B," she told. "Me too, I'm Taehyung."

"Nice to meet you, Taehyung! I hope we can work well together," she shook his hand, causing him to mentally coo towards the size of her hand compared to his.

"I'm super excited to get our roles and aliases. I hope mine is something really cool! Like something from a comic book," she rambled a bit and twirled a piece of her hair out of habit.

"Me too," he grinned before the feeling of wind caused the both of them face back towards the front of the court. The mentors appeared, including Taehyung's brother who he hadn't seen in so long.

"Look! They are even cooler in person," Chaeah squealed out in excitement. "I've always been such a superhero fan, it's crazy to be in front of living legends."

"Legends?"

"Of course! They were once the coolest group of heroes like, ever. Makeshift, Citadel, X-Co, Sage, and of course L.H," Chaeah went off on her fingers while Taehyung could only tilt his head.

Of course he knew a little about his brother's famous group, but he didn't think they were truly the legends everyone made them out to be.

"L.H? There are only four of them," Taehyung commented. "There were five, L.H was the last member. She was my favorite when I was younger," Chaeah admits.

Taehyung turned back as he tried to think, but he really couldn't remember his hyung mentioning about a fifth member— or really anything about the group. He barely saw him after all.

"Welcome students! And a special welcome to our new recruits," Citadel— Known as Mr.Kim Namjoon spoke with a friendly smile.

"Kim Taehyung, Jackson Wang, Jo Chaeah, and Jung Hoseok," he read off of a sheet. "Please step forward."

"That's us!" Chaeah pulled Taehyung up with him while the other students stepped back. Taehyung could also see his roommate step forward, and another boy who seemed excited to be new as well.

Jackson seemed so...interesting to him. He didn't know what about him was so interesting. The picture? His distant personality? He didn't know.

"With this training class, you will not only be assigned to your training groups, your divisions, but also your new aliases," Namjoon continued and Chaeah and Hoseok squeaked excitedly.

"But first, your powers must be shown off on a 1x1 battle with older recruits based off your ranks," he added which caused everyone to become instantly excited. After all, it was one of the only times they could really use their abilities.
