Nighttime arrived on the first day of their New York City end-of-semester trip. Everyone was exhausted from the events that went down in the morning, that no one really left the headquarters and unpacked their bags.

Roommates were generally the same and despite being so excited once, most students kind of just wanted to relax for the rest of the day. Especially Jungkook who had been babied for the rest of the day by his boyfriend and his older sister. Even if he didn't want to be.

"How are you feeling?" Taehyung asked, sitting on the edge of Jungkook's bed.

Jungkook was swaddled with blankets and covers, "I'm fine, only sore. Solbi and Jackson are overreacting. Everyone is."

Taehyung turned, finishing the clothes he was folding for him. "You don't have to do my laundry, I can put my things away when I'm done," Jungkook complained with a whine.

"I don't think anyone is overreacting. Had you gotten hurt worse than this...who knows what could have happened. You fainted too; you were not strong enough to handle that," Taehyung frowned as he continued to fold the clothes for him.

"I was strong enough to handle the truck, and I still saved those kids. That should be enough," Jungkook scoffed and rolled his eyes, as Taehyung put the folded clothes away. "I thought out of everyone, you'd at least understand me, Tae."

"I think you did the right thing, but you needed to be more careful. Everyone is only hard on you because they care," Taehyung reminded. "You still haven't gotten full control of your strength."

"My strength is the reason I'm here today," Jungkook told. "My biological parents gave me to my father when I was still a toddler. They knew in his care, I could gain control, and the possibility of having a normal life even with this ridiculous amount."

"When did Solbi come in?" Taehyung asked curiously.

"Solbi came in maybe three or four years after that. She was ten when we found her capsule on the isle," Jungkook told.

"Capsule?"

"Solbi was inside of a capsule of light, but she was still a little girl. She couldn't remember anything, no matter how many times my father tried. All that remained of her old memories before then only come up in nightmares she had every now and then," he explained.

"You two really did grow up on the Middle Isle then," Taehyung hummed.

"We're family. I'm surprised you weren't there with us," Jungkook admitted. "Even Yoongi-hyung was there with us. Why...weren't you ever there?"

"My brother never told me anything about his work. He always hid superhero things away from me and sheltered me," Taehyung admitted with a frown. "And I don't have any idea why."

"Maybe he wanted to protect you. I can see how much Seokjin cares about you, we all can," Jungkook told with a small smile. "But besides that, I'm sure you're tired too. Go to your room for the night."

"Are you going to be okay?" Taehyung asked.

"Yes, of course I'll be fine. I can take care of myself," Jungkook assured. "I'll see you tomorrow."

The two exchanged good nights, before Taehyung stepped out of the room, and shut the door gently behind him. Now in the hallway, he made his way to the staircase where he could make his way up to his own room.

Taehyung thought about his brother, and how much he really had been caring for him since the incident, and even long before that had even happened. Even if he didn't believe in it anymore, he wondered what could happen if he really were to ever avenge him. And make things right.
