Perilous

Chapter Four - Prey

Once the sound of the whistle blew, the battle had officially begun.

Jimin readied his energy, letting Jennie absorb from him as he was absorbing from the sun.  They both readied their hands for battle. Yoongi readied his weapons as Minji's holographic shield appeared on her arm.

Jackson's skin hardened into a blade, while Chaeah begun to whisper things underneath her breath and dark purple clouds begun to cover the battlefield. Taehyung could only stand there before the final whistle blew and it was time to attack.

Hoseok suddenly had one of his super senses, and he quickly ran to push Taehyung out of the way as a bolt of energy cane rushing towards him. "Get your head in the game!!" Hoseok advised before getting up and running away.

Taehyung rubbed his head as he watched Jimin and Chaeah begin to battle out, him throwing different energies while she threw back her own dark absorbent bubbles to suck it back up. Lasers came from out of his eyes but Hoseok was able to dodge it every time, running around the arena to avoid every attack.

Rock from off of the ground begun to levitate as Minji held them using her hands, telekinesis being her biggest ability as the rocks are suddenly thrown to them. Taehyung braces for impact but never feels it, instead opening his eyes to see Jackson using his arm as a shield.

"What the fuck are you doing, Karma? Are you really living up to that fucking name or are you going to get your head out of your ass and help us?!" Jackson asked before feeling another sword clashing with his own, seeing Yoongi there now with a sword.

The two of them begun to sword fight, fighting with their weapons as well as their fists and legs. It was the perfect counter which caused the mentors to look in more seriously into the battle.

"Why hasn't he moved yet..." Seokjin thought to himself as he watched Taehyung only sit there in fear and shake.

While the other three fought, the students begun to bop at Taehyung for not fighting or helping out. Jisoo and Jungkook watch from afar with frowns stretched into their faces.

"Seems like you're really not going to fight, huh? Some hero you are," Yoongi comments towards him before kicking Taehyung harshly into the stomach, knocking the breath out of him as he fell to the ground shaking.

"Tae!" Chaeah hurried over to him, helping him up. "It's okay...it's okay. You have to get back up and fight, even if it has to be with your hands or something," she encouraged and he felt tears in his eyes already.

Minji caused the rock to come up from underneath Hoseok's feet, sending him flying into the side of the wall. Jackson cursed under his breath before going over to help him, an interesting detail everyone was beginning to see. How much they were already helping each other.

"You have to keep fighting, Taehyung," Jennie tries to encourage, throwing a leash blast of energy but thankfully they were quick enough to get away with Hoseok's help.

"I-I...I.." Taehyung stuttered. Hoseok and Chaeah watch with a frown while Jackson tried to hold them off with everything he had.

"Come on you fucking pussy do something!" Yoongi yelled. "Are you really good for nothing?" Minji added as rocks begun to levitate around her and ready themselves like bullets.

"I just...I-I c-can't," his hands were shaking, trying to get something out but nothing was working.

Chaeah gently set her hand onto his head, "I'll help you calm down—"

"DO SOMETHING!" Yoongi yelled and the boos became louder and louder. "DO SOMETHING!"

Taehyung had enough. "LEAVE ME A—LONE!"
