"Why did you want to talk to me?"

Taehyung had asked after a moment of silence between him and the shapeshifter, Red Swan, or Jisoo, as the two walked out of the school building onto the outside sidewalks.

"You really interest me, more than any other new recruit. I can't say I'm unique because of that, since it's what everyone is thinking," Jisoo admits with a grin. "You're the talk of this place. Not only because of well...all that happened but because of the prophecy."

Taehyung gritted his teeth a bit, and Jisoo noticed. "You seem timid about it...I can imagine the pressure you must have on your shoulders," she said and he nodded as he stared down at the ground.

"A lot of people would give up anything for that kind of pressure," she said and he glanced up. "Not me, I'm talking about the ones who have this weird hero complex that makes them think they are superior to everyone else. Like Jennie for example."

"Jennie?"

"Duh, she is the queen of that. She literally told everyone she was the one of prophecy too...so when I saw you both hanging around I was a bit surprised," she smirked.

"I didn't think she was like that..." he admits quietly. "A lot of people here are multi layered. They have a persona, a personality, and who they really are. It's rare to find someone who you can truly trust in to have all three and still be a whole person," Jisoo told while using different hand gestures as she went.

"If a crowtit tries to walk like a stork, it will break its legs," she added. "Jennie loved to walk like storks, so much that she would break her own legs. It's pathetic really."

Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows, "you shouldn't talk about her like that. If she has a hero complex then it's not a big deal."

"It's a big deal when you put others down and put yourself in front of everything," Jisoo snapped back which caused him to frown. He didn't want to believe his first friend was some sort of stuck up bitch.

"Look, I didn't come out here to talk shit about your friends. I'm not the bitch everyone makes me out to be," Jisoo stopped walking and Taehyung stopped behind her. "But you need to be careful. Not everyone will want to be your friends. These 'heroes' could very well be the villains of our generation too. Including you."

"Me?"

"Taehyung!!" Chaeah ran out to him, standing there and Jisoo glanced over to the small girl. "Mentor Skye wants to see you..." she said quietly.

"Did you really have to interrupt our conversation for that?" Jisoo asked. "I'm sorry Red S-Swan," Chaeah stuttered and Jisoo rolled her eyes.

"I'll be going then...see you around Jisoo," Taehyung said before running off to meet his mentor.

"You're the one who got hurt in the blast aren't you? Archangel," Jisoo begun to speak. "You're impressive for sure, but not outstanding."

"I didn't come out here for your opinion," Chaeah furrowed her eyebrows. "You love to poke your nose into other people's problems, I've heard about you."

"Omg I'm famous," Jisoo could only smirk and pat the girl's head. "You're too clueless little one."

"I'm literally fucking taller than you," Chaeah pouts and Jisoo could only laugh. "Someone said a bad word ~" the shapeshifter teased and Chaeah pushed her hand away.

"You're adorable. Don't test me, sweetheart or it'll leave a mark. I'll see you on the battlefield, beautiful," Jisoo cupped her cheek, causing the younger girl to blush but cover it up with an angry look as Jisoo shifted into a cheetah and walked away.
