Jack POV
I ran around my room, tearing everything apart trying to find the perfect outfit for Jenn's party. I had to look good for her. Ugh! Is there anything in the giant pile of clothes that could make me look at least half decent? I groaned, picking up a white collared shirt and black dress pants. I hated dressing up, but of course I would do anything for Jenn, even if it meant being in uncomfortable clothes for the rest of the evening.

Suddenly, over the loud blasting music in my bedroom, I heard my text tone. I unlocked my IPhone and saw a new text message from Anthony. He was going to come over with Andrew shortly before the party to get ready with my roommate Drew, and I. Then, we would all head over to the o2l house together for Jenn's party.

Lil Tony: On our way! Be ready to open the door bitch, cuz the real party is about to arrive 💁
I rolled my eyes, laughing. I didn't even have time to mentally respond to his text before I heard the door banging with screams of Anthony and Andrew powering over everything. I rushed to the door, turning off the music on the way.

"Open this god damn door, Jack!" Andrew yelled.

I laughed quietly, opening the door and stepping aside to let them both in to my apartment.

"You would have thought that something would have been going on, oh wait, Jenn's not here," Anthony smirked, crossing his arms.

"And hello to you too, Anthony," I rolled my eyes.

"Please, it's not that hard to believe, it is her birthday after all," Andrew agreed.

"Shut it, both of you," I laughed, playfully punching both of him in the arm.

"Bitch," Anthony laughed back.

After a while, we all spread out into different areas on my apartment, getting changed, then meeting in front of the large bathroom mirror, where the four of us; Drew, Anthony, Andrew and I, were fixing our hair.

"So, Jack, what did you ever end up getting Jenn anyway?" Drew asked through the mirror.

"I just thought of so many sarcastic and/or dirty things to say just now, but I'll refrain myself," Anthony muttered, smirking.

"How considerate of you," I rolled my eyes at Anthony, laughing, then continued, turning to Drew, "I want it to be a surprise, but let's just say it's very Tumblr." My comment made everyone in the room burst into laugher.

"Oh how fancy," Andrew said, rolling his eyes.

"Shut up, my gift is way better than any of yours," I said, then added, "well at least I hope so...." I trailed off.

Anthony put his hand on my shoulder, suddenly becoming sincere, unlike his usually sassy self, "Of course it will be good, Jack. Just not as good as mine though," he laughed.

TIME SKIP
Eventually, we made our way to the o2l house and were sitting around waiting for everyone to arrive, being we were some of the first ones there.

I looked around, not seeing Jenn anywhere. I walked up to Ricky, "hey, have you seen Jenn? I haven't seen her anywhere." Ricky went to answer my question, until his mouth dropped open.

"What? What is it Ricky?" I said, waving a head in front of his race. Instead of any words coming out of his mouth, he turned me around towards the stairs.

There, standing at the top of the stairs, was the most beautiful girl in the world. Jennifer McAllister, looking down at the party guests like a queen on her peasants. Her eyes scanned over the room, until her eyes met with mine. She smiled, and waved sweetly.

"I think you found her, Jack," Ricky laughed.

Suddenly, the familiar voice of Anthony appeared at my side, "Jack, stop staring, and close your mouth, it's weird," he laughed.

"She's just... Just beautiful," I said, lost for words.

"Alright, get yourself together, go on," Anthony rolled his eyes, pushing me further towards the stairs.

I walked up to Jenn, who was standing talking to Rebecca at the foot of the stairs.

"Oh hey Jack," Rebecca said, acknowledging my presence.

"Hey," I said, waving to Rebecca and putting hand around Jenn's waist.
Jenn out her head on my shoulder, "Hey boy hey," she laughed.
"I'll leave you too alone now," Rebecca laughed, walking away.
"How do you like the party?" Jenn said, turning towards me.
"It's really nice, I love the decorations. But wait, why did you have us dress up?" I asked, knowing how much Jenn hated wearing dresses and heels.

Jenn cracked a small smile, laughing. Confused, I tilted my head and crossed my arms, "Jennifer you tell me right now what's going on," I laughed.

She took a deep breath, then started, " Okay okay, you got me, I lied a bit. I never had to do any of that stuff with Andrea for YouTube, or the meetings, or anything. But I had a good reason. This, all this, is for you. It sounds crazy, but let me explain. Remember how you said you never went to your high school prom? This is your high school prom. I did this for you. It's not an exact-"
That was when I heard enough; I cut her off by throwing my arms around her, hugging her tight.

" This is so sweet. I love you, I love you so much," I said, pulling away, then I realized something, " But Jenn, this is your birthday, you shouldn't be doing this."
She put her finger on my lips, " Shh, don't ruin it," she laughed, " I did this because I love you. No one should go without experiencing their prom." Jenn wrapped her arms around my neck, and smiled.

"Alright, as long as you're sure, thank you," I smiled.
Just then, a perfect slow song came on, making the moment movie worthy. I grabbed Jenn's hand, and walked her to where all of our other friends were dancing. She put her hands on my shoulders, and I put my hands on her waist. I looked back up at her slightly embarrassed, suddenly remembering that I didn't know how to dance.

"What's wrong?" Jenn asked, but a look in her eyes told me that she already knew the answer.
"I... I don't know how to dance," I mumbled, looking down.
From beside me, I heard Anthony's voice, " Oh god, someone help this boy," he laughed, rolling his eyes.
Jenn pushed my chin up again, "It's okay, just look at me, don't worry about the feet part," she smiled.

I nodded, staring into her eyes. Believe it or not, as the song progressed, I actually got half decent at dancing, or maybe I was still terrible and Jenn just told me I was good to make me feel good about myself, which could quite possibly be the case.
Finally, a fast song played, and all of our friends crowded in the centre of the dance floor going insane and dancing together.

Suddenly, a voice was heard over the loud music, making all of us turn our heads to the front door. This was a voice I thought I would never hear again, and a voice which made me freeze in my spot, but at the same time made me want to punch the it's shadow that was slowly coming into view.

Author's note: I don't feel like writing this conclusion thingy so I guess I'll cya next chapter lol :)
