Chapter 37 - Doubts Subside // Final Chapter

Jenn POV

I cut Jack's words short by pressing my lips to his. I just couldn't let him ramble on forever, although it's cute that he's nervous. I could almost sense the heavy doubt that rested on his shoulders, but now it seems like it is fainting away as we kiss. I pull away, and wrap my arms around him, nuzzling into his chest.

"I know," Is all I manage to say.

"You know that I'm just trying to protect our relationship right?" Jack whispers in my ear, causing goose bumps on my skin.

"I know," I repeat, "but I would never ever let anything tear us apart. You know that, right?"

Jack slightly nods. I can tell he's still uneasy. Suddenly, it seems like the doubts that had subsided just seconds ago have come back, making us feel miles apart. I need to show him that coming out as a couple will be good for us. I don't think I can hide our love much longer. I kiss his cheek, and move so I'm sitting on his lap.

"Look at me," I instruct, noticing his distant eyes. His eyes meet mine with a slight feeling of uncertainy, "What's wrong? You seem upset."

"I'm not upset," Jack mumbles, looking away.

"And I'm not stupid," I cross my arms, tilting my head to the side.

"I never said you were," He raises his voice, getting defensive.

"Then why do you think you can lie about not being upset? C'mon Jack, I'm dumb, but not that dumb. I know my boyfriend," I tease, smiling at the way the word 'boyfriend' made his eyes light up. Jack smiles and bites his lip, but refuses to answer. "You better answer in the next ten seconds!" I command.

"Or what?" He leads me on.

"Or I'll... I'll..." I trail off. Damn it, I didn't think that far ahead. I thought he would have caved by now.

"That's what I thought," He rolls his eyes.

Without thinking, I reach out and start tickling him. Immediately, Jack flinches and bursts out into laughter. He tries to get out of my grasp, but I pin him down on the couch with one hand while mercilly tickle him with the other.

"Jenn! Stop it!" He laughs.

"Only if you tell me what's wrong!" I threaten while continuing to tickle him.

Suddenly, Andrea walks in from the other room. This is not what it looks like. I didn't think she was even home. She smirks at the sight of me literally on top of Jack on the couch, then continues to walk to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I spring back from Jack and pull my hands away, while my face turns a deep shade of pink. Jack sees my expression and turns around as well, seeing Andrea in the doorway. His face turns red, and he lets out a small laugh, looking down. "Carry on," She laughs, while heading back into her room, "Use protection!" Andrea adds before closing her bedroom door.

"Well, that was awkward," Jack laughs.

"Yup," I laugh, then change the subject, "Are you going to tell me now?"

"Fine!" He rolls his eyes, "You win."

I clap my hands, and crawl back onto his lap after looking towards Andrea's bedroom. He lets out a breath, then starts.

"I'm just scared," he begins. "I'm scared of what our fans say about us. What if they give us hate? What if they don't accept our relationship because they ship us with other people? I know that people ship you with Jc, so what will they think?"

"Is that everything?" I ask. I want to make sure that he can be reassured about all his doubts.

"Yeah I guess. It's so stupid, I know. But it's just something that goes through my head sometimes."

"Jack, It's not stupid. I love you, and I get where you're coming from. But I don't want to hide our feeling anymore. What if I could make you doubts go away?" I suggest.

"How you would be able to do that?" He asks.

"Here," I say, pulling out my phone. I open my camera app, "Smile," I command.

"Jenn, if I knew you were taking a selfie, I would have made myself look at least half decent," Jack laughs.

"Oh shush you!" I silence him and turn away, making sure he doesn't see. After quickly editing the photo, I post it on Instagram with a peace sign emoji as the caption. "Check your instagram," I state, trying to hide the growing smile on my face.

"So demanding," He rolls his eyes, pulling out his phone. He opens the Instagram app, and our picture appears at the top of his feed. Immediately the comments start pouring in, and his face lights up. Jack looks up at me with a bright smile on his face, "Okay."

I laugh, "Okay what?"

"I think we can do this."

TIME SKIP

"Well, this is it," I take a deep breath. I can't believe this is actually happening right now. Jack and I revealing our relationship to the world. I can't tell if it is the right decision, but my heart feels it's the right thing to do. I think about what Jack had said to me back when we were sitting on my couch back in my old appartment and I was still dating Matt. I had asked him what to do about Matt and I's relationship back when our fighting and disagreements first started to destory our connection, and he told me to "follow your heart." It all makes sense now. It all feels so right now. It finally seems like all the heartbreak and struggle is worth it. I found Jack; someone who loves me for me, and I can be myself with. I followed my heart, and it lead me to Jack.

"What are you thinking about?" Jack's voice interupts my thoughts. He gently rubs my back and pushes my hair out of my face.

"Nothing. Just about everything that has happened."

"It's been crazy," Jack reads my thoughts. It's true. When Jack and I first met, we were just two stupid internet kids wasting their life away on Youtube. Or at least that is what it seemed. Now our youtube channels have a million subscribers, and we are in a relationship. It's crazy how things can change in just a few years. Sometimes, it seems like you search all around looking for 'your person' when in reality, he is just standing there in front of you, you just have to take another look.

Jack lets out a breath, "Ready?"

I give him a reasurring nod and turn to my laptop where Jack and I's Boyfriend Tag video is ready to post, and his matching Girlfriend Tag is awaiting on his laptop. We look at each other, and just smile.

"Three." I count down.

"Two." He continues.

"One." I breathe once more before pressing the post button. Jack does the same, and turns to me, wrapping his arms around my waist; where they belong. He pulls me into a kiss, and I wrap my arms around his neck. Electricity seems to flow through my entire body and all my nerves seem to melt away from his touch.
