Jenn POV

As I was dancing with all of our friends, I looked over at Jack, who was looking over at the front door. The look on his face was hard to make out. It wasn't until I heard a voice too famaliar to me that started I to worry as the colour seemed to drain from my face.

" Jenn, nice party you've got here," The voice said. I stopped in my tracks and seemed to freeze up; unable to move. I looked over at Jack once again, only to see he wasn't at my side, but the sound of his quickened - almost frantic footsteps lead away from me and instead in the direction of the voice. In a quick motion, I turned on my heel to face my nightmare as I saw him already staring at me.

Matt.... He was here, at the o2l house.... Oh God...

So many questions began to spiral through my head. How did he find me? Why is he here? What does he want from me? Suddenly, his voice snapped me out of my thoughts as his soft whisper in my ear made me freeze up once again. His voice slurred; smooth like glass, and his breath smelled of alcohol. He had been drinking - No, correction, he was drunk. Nothing had changed.

"Hey babe, you look so beautiful tonight," He slurred, his breath hot on my neck.

I inched away uncomfortably, but he kept coming closer to me. To my left, I saw Jack being held back by two of Matt's friends.

"I swear to God, you lay one finger on her and you're done, you drunk," Jack shouted, struggling to get out of their grip. His tone surprised me; usually he would never be this brave. No offence to Jack, but Matt could definetely do quite a number on his face, considering his size.

Matt snapped his head over to Jack's direction, and clenched his fists. Shit. Shit. This is not good. I bit my lip nervously and questioned to myself whether I should grab Matt's wrist to hold him back, but I knew that he could overpower me. All I could do was watch.

"What did you say to me, asshole?" Matt said sharply, coming closer to Jack.

Jack looked down, thinking of what to say; one wrong word and it could be over. He opened his mouth about to speak, then closed it again, choosing to stay silent.

"Answer me!" Matt shouted angerily, slowly losing his temper.

I looked around at everyone else, crowded nervously into small clusters, forming a circle around Matt, Jack and I. Their faces were filled with panic and fear.

A bead of sweat dripped from Matt's face. Jack looked up to meet his gaze. Shit. Wrong move Jack. I cringed, preparing myself to watch the result, but luckily to my surprise, Matt didn't do anything, other than getting more angry being kept angry.

"I'll only ask you one more time, what did you say to me?" He shouted again, even louder than the first time.

Jack gulped, "I said, lay one finger on her and you're done," he muttered, barely loud enough for Matt to hear, then continued, "you drunk," Jack spat, looking directly into Matt's eyes, suddenly becoming much more confident in his words and tone.

Matt clenched his jaw, and his face hardened. "You little bitch," he began, taking a step towards Jack, "You're so dead," he shouted.

Matt snapped. Fury built up inside him as he took his anger out on Jack, kicking him in the stomach. "No!" I screamed, making a run for Jack, but found myself being thrown to the floor by Matt.

"You feel good, Jack Baran? You feel all mighty now?" Matt shouted, and punched him in the gut.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I saw the one I loved being tortured right in front of my eyes. I tried to push myself to my feet, but I struggled to stand, and fell back to the floor.

"Matt stop! Please!" I cried, and finally found my way back up from the floor and onto my feet once again. Jack was hutched over, gasping for air after the impact to his stomach. I ran for Matt, grabbing onto his arm and attemped to pull him back. Matt turned his gaze over to me and threw me off his arm, pushing me back.

"Stay out of this. This between me and this idiot"

"Well this 'idiot' is my boyfriend and he treats me way better than you ever did!" I shouted back at Matt, making sure I said everything before my sudden confidence had disappeared.

Matt turned to face me, anger boiling up inside of him. The two people holding Jack back suddenly realized him, leaving him to tumble onto the ground, and hustled towards me behind Matt. I bit my lip, and tried to seem as confident as possible, although what was left of it was slowly fading away as I realized my fate. I backed up, trying to get away from him, but found myself boxed in by more of Matt's friends. I frantically looked around, trying to find a way out, but I was stuck. All of a sudden, I felt a sharp pain. My vision blurred, as I felt myself falling to the ground. The sound of Jack screaming my name was the last thing I heard before blacking out.
