Jack POV
Jenn took my hand, and I never have been so happy. I had something in mind, and I hope that it will make her remember me. I lead her upstairs, and went into Jc's room when he was in the bathroom. We sneaked onto the balcony, and I let go of her hand to climb onto the roof.
I reached my hand out to her. She looked down and bit her lip. She looked back up at me, and took my hand. I was slowly gaining her trust. We walked to the middle of the roof and I stopped again, letting go of her hand.
She looked at me with a mixed expression. She tilted her head to the side, like a puppy would, "What are we doing up here," she giggled.
"Well Jenn, we are going to look at the stars and have a pinic," I said, signaling to the mattress, blankets, pillows, and pinic basket behind me.
Her jaw dropped open, and she smiled at me. I lead her to sit down on the mattress, and opened up the basket.
"What's for dinner, chef?" She giggled.
I was winning her over. I knew this would work. I would get Jenn to remember me, but I had to wait for the proper moment.
I pulled out peanut butter and jelly sandwiches; Jenn's favourite, along with sparkling apple cider.
Her eyes lit up, and she smiled at me. We sat there, on the mattress on the roof, cuddling up with blankets to keep warm. It was perfect.
We had both finished eating, and we layed down on the mattress, looking at the stars. She turned towards me, looking at my face.
"Jack?"
"Yes, Jenn?"
"I don't know what it is about you. All I know is your name, but somehow, someway, I know deep down I can trust you. I just feel like I'm attached to you, I know that sounds weird, but it's something about you," she said, staring at me.
I turned towards her, not knowing what to say. I was just as surprised as she was; I couldn't believe that she trusted me this much.
"Jenn, I know you don't remember me, and I know it's hard for you to understand, but I really do care about you. We've had some of the most amazing times together. I just hope you can forgive me after doing this," I said, sitting up.
She sat up and looked at me, confused, "Forgive you after doing what?"
"This," I said, as I leaned in and pressed my lips to hers. I pulled her closer to me as I wrapped my hands around her waist.
Oh my god, was she? She was kissing back. It was so perfect, we were kissing on the roof, under the stars. But then I remembered, she doesn't know who I am, she doesn't know anything about me.
I pulled away, looking down, "I'm sorry," I mumbled.
"Oh my God, Jack!" Jenn screamed, wrapping her arms around my neck, and kissing my cheek, "I remember. I remember everything," she said, almost out of breath. It was as if her heart had started working again; her whole body was in shock, not knowing what to do. I was so happy I could scream at the top of my lungs, but being as it was midnight and we were on the roof, I decided it wasn't the best idea.
"Oh my God, Jenn," I said in shock, wrapping my arms around her waist. "I missed you, I missed you so much Jenn Jenn," I whispered into her hair as her head layed on my shoulder.
She crawled closer to me, and sat on my chest, straddling me as I layed down on my back.
I looked up at her in awe. She was so beautiful, especially tonight; the moon hit her face at just the right angle to make her look drop dead gorgeous.
We both looked up at the stars, examing the different constellations, until we saw it. A comet; shooting across the sky. She looked back down at me, with excitement on her face only a little child could compete with. I laughed at her, reaching up to touch her nose playfully.
Jenn got off my chest and crawled beside me to lay down on the mattress. She turned and looked at me, "Jack, I just wanted to thank you," she said.
"For what Jenny?" I said, kissing her forehead.
"For being there for me. You saved me, Jack. It sounds strange, I know, but let me explain. When I was in the hospital, the second day, before you saw me, I got really bad. The doctors couldn't keep me stable, let alone conscious, and I was in a lot of pain. I was considering giving up. It was so easy; I could give up, then the pain would be all over. Finally, the doctors got me stable enough to let you and Ricky see me. When I saw your face, you had a glimmer in your eye; you were willing to try again with me, and you fought in order to try and get me to remember you, no matter how much pain it caused you. It saved me, Jack. Now I don't know what I would have done if I let myself go that day. I know I made the right decision. I love you, Jack," she said honestly.
I couldn't believe it. Jenn just said she loved me. And I loved her back.
"Jenn," I began, brushing her bangs behind her ear, " I love you too. I always have, and I always will; no matter what. I can't imagine life without you Jenn Jenn," I said, kissing her cheek.
And there we layed, hand in hand, staring up at the stars, and cuddled in blankets. Jenn was back; she was mine once again.
