Jack POV

I couldn't believe it. Jenn; my Jenn, was in the hospital. I didn't want to believe what Andrea was saying to me. My mouth was dropped open, and I felt myself starting to tear up.

"W-what? What's w-wrong?" I said, trying to keep myself together.

"I don't k-know what happened. I came home to h-her passed out on the b-bathroom floor," Andrea stuttered, "They're t-taking her to the hospital r-right now," she continued.

I heard talking in the background on her end. The medical team was probably taking her to the into the ambulance. I was so worried. What if something bad happens? I wouldn't ever be able to sleep again. I was too lost in thought that I almost didn't hear Andrea speak.

"Jack.... I-I.... I h-have to go n-now," she said, hanging up before I got a chance to respond.

I had to get to Jenn. I just had to. I had to find out what was going on with my Jenn Jenn. But the only problem was I was all the way across the country. I didn't care. I would get to Jenn one way or another.

I packed a small bag together. Nothing much; a change of clothes, my phone, and my charger. I'm coming Jenn, don't worry. I will be there.

I ran out of my apartment, and drove to the airport as fast as I could. I needed to see her. I would do all it takes. I needed to know what was going on. I slumped my bag down beside me and leaned on the counter where a worker was set up.

"Hi! How may I help yo-"

"I need a flight to Los Angeles! As soon as possible!" I practically screamed.

"T-There's one tomorrow morning, sir," she said, taken aback from my yelling.

I shook my head. "Is there any way I can get a flight ahead of that?" I said, starting to calm down.

"Well sir..."

"No! I need to see my girlfriend! She could be dying!" I yelled, getting angry again. I was not taking no as an answer. Wait, did I just call Jenn my girlfriend? I shook off the thought.

I looked at the worker. She looked concerned. "I'm sorry... I dont... I dont know what's going on... But I need to see her.... Please," I said, apoligizing for my behavior.

She looked at her computer, just thinking. Then, she looked up at me, and something had come to her. She quickly scanned her computer screen and clicked and typed furiously.

"Oh my god," she said, eyes widening.

"What?" I said, leaning further onto the counter to get a look at her computer screen.

"Sir... T-There's an opening on the 5:30 flight," she said, turning her screen to face me.

"I need that! Please! I'll do anything," I said desperately, fanning out 20 dollar bills.

"It will be 800 dollars," she said, "And you'll have to hurry; it's 5pm. Good luck... with everything," she said, smiling.

"Thank you so much," I said as I picked up my bag and ran to the other end of the airport.

Andrea POV

I was so scared for Jenn. My best friend and my roommate; was possibly dying. I was sitting in a chair in the lobby of the hospital wing, waiting for someone; anyone to come out, letting me now anything about Jenn's state. I decided to text Anthony, Rebecca, and Andrew what was happening from Jenn's phone that I picked up on the way out of our apartment.

Why did it have to be Jenn? She was one of the best people I knew, and she was now being hospitalized. I never should have left on the trip with Kian. I collapsed into my hands, starting to cry.

"Excuse me? Miss? May I talk to you?" I heard a older male say.

I looked up, and saw a doctor in front of me. I wiped my tears, and nodded. I prayed that whatever he had to say was good news.

"How about we take a walk?" he suggested, taking my arm and leading me out into the courtyard garden in the hospital wing. I already knew what he was going say was bad. Based on my knowledge from Grey's Anatomy, all the doctors say that when there's bad news.

"How is she?" I said, worried.

"She's.... She's alright. She's one hell of a fighter, that's what I'll say," he said in a serious tone."I actually wanted to ask you a few questions about Jenn."

I nodded, stopping to sit on a wooden bench. He sat beside me, and stared at me.

"Andrea... Did you know Jenn was depressed?"

That took me by surprise. Jenn? Depressed? How.... She was one of the happiest people I knew.

I shoke my head, "No... No I didn't"

"You see... The reason Jenn is in the hospital is that she cut herself; and her body didn't clot blood fast enough. She lost a lot of blood, didn't have enough blood in her system and brain. This caused Jenn to go into a coma," he said, not changing expression. "I'm very sorry," he said getting up; leaving me alone on the bench.

Oh my god. Jenn was in a coma. My best friend. I started sobbing uncontrollably, bringing my knees into my chest, and buring my head in my thighs.

Jack POV

Finally, I had made it to LA. I managed to get a rental car, and I drove to the hospital as fast as I could. I swung my bag over my back, and ran up to the front desk.

"I-I need to see my girl... my girlfriend!" I yelled. I just called Jenn my girlfriend again. Whatever, it didn't matter. I looked at the worker at the desk. Crap. Jack calm down. "I'm sorry....Please... Her name is Jennifer McAllister," I said quieter, causing people to go back to their newspapers and phones.

"I'm sorry, you cannot see her right now. But you may wait in the lobby with her other friends and family members," he said, directing me to the correct wing.

I opened my mouth to speak, but then stopped myself and followed the worker. I looked in the lobby, but there was no one there. I turned around to talk to the worker, but he was already walking down the hallway. "Th-Thank you," I said, hoping he would hear me.

I went to go sit down in one of the chairs, but on the way something caught my eye. I looked out the window to see the beautiful courtyard in the hospital wing. Through the plants and flowers, I saw someone. I took a closer look; straining my eyes. That looks a lot like... Andrea? Oh my god Andrea!

I ran into the courtyard and almost tripped while I ran up to her. She was crying on a bench in the middle of the garden.

"Andrea? What's wrong?" I said, but I was afraid I already knew the answer.

She looked up at me. Her eyes were red and bloodshot, and there was makeup running down her face.

"Jack... You won't believe it," she croaked, and patted the spot beside her; signaling for me to sit down.

I mentally prepared myself for the worst, but before she began to speak, I had a feeling that I wasn't ready for what she was about to tell me.

"Jack... Sh-she's...." she paused to get herself together.

"Jenn.... She's in.... A coma,"

That was all I needed before I burst out into tears myself.
