Chapter 6 - What is Love?

Jack POV

I was on cloud nine. I just kissed Jenn. It felt so right, like it was meant to be or something. What am I talking about? I don't know anything about love. I may not be a love expert, but there was no doubt that we both feel the same way, and there was is a connection between Jenn and I. But for now I have to focus on filming the 5/5 collab. I have to act casual.

The five of us were setting up in the backyard where we would film. We decided we were filming on Jenn's channel first, and the video would be musical chairs. I didn't know how well this would turn out, being as all of us are highly competitive and do not wanna lose. Oh jeez, someone will get hurt for sure.

During the video, we did two seperate rounds. Jenn won the first round, and I won the second round. Rebecca then suggested we do one final round between us to determine the winner. Jenn and I raced around the chair, until the music stopped. I knew I couldn't win because Jenn was closer to the chair, so I let her sit. She put up her hands in victory, and I picked her up under her knees and brought her close to me. She grabbed onto my arms, and someone yelled, "surfboard," in the background. I'm pretty sure that most of the five suspect "something" between us, but I don't know exactly what. I was just glad that Jenn didn't choose to do a Q&A.

For Anthony's video, much to my dispair, we did a Q&A. For the most part, nothing awkward came up, until a fan asked Jenn about her New Years kiss. I had hoped this wouldn't come up. Thankfully, I avoided eye contact with her, and she said she will never tell.

For Rebecca's video, we did a truth or dare, which I guess isn't as bad as a Q&A, even though I still got asked when my last kiss was. Shit. I quickly looked over to my right, but Jenn was pretending to swat away a bug so she wasn't looking at me. "Ummm, Friday night," I lied, but no one except Jenn and I know different. At the end of the video, we sung and danced to Drunk In Love, and long story short, Jenn and I, um, kinda grinded. I hope that Rebecca doesn't keep that part in her video.

For my video, I didn't wanna embarrass myself even more than I already have tonight, so I decided just to take the bloopers and extra footage from all the other videos and make an outtakes montage. Plus, all the others were tired anyways and we really didn't want to film another video. We also decided to film Andrew's video the next morning, even though Anthony would not be here to film it, as his flight was tomorrow morning.

Let's just say that tonight was a bit awkward for Jenn and I. I'm pretty sure the other 3/5 are slowly catching on to us. I definitely know that Rebecca is, based on the looks she gives us all the time.

The five of us headed back inside after filming, joining the rest of the o2l boys in the living room, watching the end of a movie I didn't know. I wasn't really paying attention, I was mostly on Instagram and Twitter.

After the movie had finished, which may I add was extremely boring, we decided on the room situation, because last night people pretty much slept anywhere. And by anywhere I meant ANYWHERE; I'm pretty sure Anthony slept on the living room carpet.

Kian ended up going over to Andrea's place, making his room free, so Anthony and Andrew volunteered to sleep there. That left two other spare rooms. Before anyone could say anything, Rebecca screamed, "I get a room to myself! Too late bitches!" I looked at Jenn, that meant we would be sharing a room. After the day we've had, I can't tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

We all eventually said our goodnights and made our way to our rooms. I went and got changed, and when I got back into the spare room, Jenn was already sitting on the bed on her phone. I went and sat next to her on the bed. She looked over at me, "Hey Jacky," she said quietly, resting her head on my shoulder. God, she was so cute when she was sleepy.

"Hey Jenn Jenn," I said, brushing her hair behind her ear. She was so beautiful. She didn't need any makeup to look perfect. Do I love her? God, that is a strong word, but it feels so true. Woah woah Jack, slow down, she only said she liked you a few hours ago, one step at a time. But I was willing to wait until the time comes, I would wait forever, and do anything for Jenn, no matter what.

I picked up a piece of her hair, twirling it around in my fingers as I had done when she was sleeping this morning. "Jacky, what do you think love is?" Jenn whispered, looking up at me. God, that was a tough question. I have never thought about something like that before. I thought for a bit, before truthfully responding.

"Honestly Jenn Jenn, I think love is a strong emotion you feel towards someone in your lifetime. I truly believe you only feel real love with one person; the person that you are meant to be with, and spend the rest of your life with. You feel a connection towards that person, almost like an attachment, as if they are a piece of you. No one can tell you to love someone else, and even if they tried, eventually you will be lead back to this person. As much as you may not believe it, this one person is your soulmate, and you cannot live without them."

Jenn looked up and me, "And you say you know nothing about love"

"Well I guess I like to pretend I do. Goodnight Jenn," I said, kissing the back of her head.

"Night Jacky," she whispered, resting her head on my chest before closing her eyes.

I stared at the ceiling for a while before falling alsleep, thinking about how I answered Jenn's question. I'm not exactly sure where my definition of love came from, but I know that I believe it. I wondered why Jenn had asked me in the first place; I'm not exactly the best person to ask about love. Whatever the reason was, I was glad we did talk about it. I loved sharing these moments with Jenn.

I gently stroked her upper back as she slept, starting to doze off myself, and before I knew it, I was sleeping.
